What is football going to do... (7 replies)

...to entice people to renew season tickets?

I won't renew as it stands, nothing to do with Blues' predicament but purely down to Covid and the uncertainty of actually being able to get in to watch a game. I'll most probably pay on the day on the day until Christmas and then buy a half season ticket. Clubs need to encourage the like of me away from doing that because there's always something that could happen in between which makes people change their mind. They need to be inventive and come up with a way of making fans commit now. If they do nothing, they're sending out the wrong signals. If they sold half season tickets now which allowed access to the streams and discounted tickets for pay on the day until the New Year (assuming we can attend), that would be one way of keeping the fans on board.

My worry, and I know this sounds unbelievable, is that some owners are so out of touch with football and its and quirks and traditions they just don't really see what could be coming. Football needs to take the hit again over this next 6 months to stand a chance of surviving long-term.

Although I would be interested if the Trust is in touch with the club over the matter, this is a general question and not about renewing at Blues specifically, that's been done to death. It's a thread canvassing for positives suggestions about how football can move on.
