Gave up on it all about 9 last night. Was confident we'd be saved by the failings of others, but that really wasn't a cheery place to be.

So, this morning

At least we're not Forest fans...imagine what their fall out of the play offs must feel like
At least we're not Hull fans...1 win in 20
At least we're not Wigan fans...your team and manager play their hearts out and you get sent down by money men malarkey

But this morning, more than for a long time, I do get the feeling of 'what's the point'. The enjoyment of physically going to the game has gone, and is unlikely to return soon. Watching or following on line is soulless. It's hard to think about giving up a 50+ year addiction but after 5 years of pretty much consistent disappointment, with no prospect of better in sight, it's hard not to think of so doing.
