Re: Blues next manager live - Bowyer latest as Karanka confirmation due
Redditch BlueAnd we’d be right to, because it has been all talk. We’ve been told repeatedly in recent weeks and months by the boss how hard they’re all working and what a great bunch they are. He’s then, several times, chucked them under a bus.
We’ve also been told by players how unified everyone is and how convinced they are that they’ll turn it around if they keep doing what they’re doing.
The evidence of recent days, in my book at least, says the above is indeed all talk, aka bullshit.
It is - and it usually is, but issuing the party line in most businesses and team-game sports is the norm. If people don't realise that (not aimed at you, Redditch) then I can understand why people might feel deceived. I so agree with Spike's point that we don't want managers to protect players when we're all having a go at them (but then we do when the manager calls them out) and that we say, when a player says that everything is fine and the players are going to fight, etc, 'don't tell us, show us' and 'yeah, it's all PR bollocks', and then when a player - perhaps trying to express the frustration that we all have at the moment, and to try and do something to prevent almost certain relegation - he becomes a 'Judas'.
If Dean's words (and others) have finally hastened Karanka's departure, then I'm glad that whoever spoke out did so.
