Very sad. Last saw him at Cambridge Folk Festival think it was his 6th or 7th appearence there going back to the very early 70's

He passed away overnight aged 73 having been in intensive care for almost two weeks.
His first album is just great song after great song and he continued writing incredible tunes decades later.
He survived throat cancer in the 90s but it left him with a proper gravelly singing voice that only enhanced his songs.
