Re: Blues October Tiki-taka Football

Small Heath Alliance

Definitely.

We have to have a 3 year plan.

There's enough dross remaining in and/or joining the bottom half of the Championship not to seriously have to worry about relegation if they can come up with a sensible plan to get going, finish mid table next season then aim for play off's the season after

Well, thank goodness that's over....but, to keep you entertained while we appoint a brilliant new manager and use the Jude money wisely, my new book about supporting Blues, Hugging Strangers, is out now.

There's a link to a preview at the end of this message and at the end of the preview, there are links to various booksellers.

It's written for love not money, so all proceeds from royalties will be donated to the Geoff Horsfield Trust

Hope you enjoy it. If you do... Читать дальше...

Thanks for all the support - appreciated.

In terms of how far back it goes, my first game was December 28th 1963 (lost 4-1 to the Arsenal as you're asking). The book went to print in February, just when we were looking half-decent and, of course, prior to the pandemic! I've actually written in the foreword that anyone who thought we couldn't go down from the position we were in hadn't been paying attention.

Pretty well all the big games since are in there, but I've made it clear... Читать дальше...

Don't mind, if Karanka comes in.

Fascinating as ever, Dan. I can’t work out where Dong comes in. Presumably King and Shen would prefer Blues to be a success and it must surely be obvious that Dong parading round the training pitch, demanding certain styles of play and so on doesn’t help, to say the least. I can see that if he’s supremely arrogant he may believe that he knows more about football than Rowett/Monk/Zola/Redknapp etc but surely the real owners must realise by now that this is nonsense and the best thing to do is appoint... I can't see Karanka getting on with anybody, let alone our current board, when the pressure is on.

We need someone to lift the club

There were more twists and turns than a murder mystery, 42 goals, champagne and tears - it's safe to say the final day of the Sky Bet Championship season delivered.

Knowledgeable people of SHA. I recently had a kitchen installed from Howdens (literally 2 months ago) there is a kitchen island and after it was installed, the worktop started splitting in multiple places. Howdens have agreed it is a faulty product and will replace the worktop but I have to pay to have it installed again (due to this being where the sink is it's not a particularly quick job).

Is this correct? Has anyone had similar issues?

Variation on a much discussed theme, but know our season is over would you rather:

a) vi**a lost the League Cup to Man City and stay up
b) vi**a win the league cup and get relegated

Go to be honest, I can't choose!

And we've not appointed his replacement.

I understand that uncertainty over the division we were likely to be in may have held things up to some degree but surely preliminary talks could've been shared with candidates on the understanding that we'd survive? What exactly is the delay here? For a man (Ren) who we're told promises promotion every season to his overlords, he doesn't appear to place a great deal of emphasis on the identity of the Head Coach/Manager.

Gave up on it all about 9 last night. Was confident we'd be saved by the failings of others, but that really wasn't a cheery place to be.

So, this morning

At least we're not Forest fans...imagine what their fall out of the play offs must feel like
At least we're not Hull fans...1 win in 20
At least we're not Wigan fans...your team and manager play their hearts out and you get sent down by money men malarkey

But this morning, more than for a long time, I do get the feeling of 'what's the point'. Читать дальше...

...to entice people to renew season tickets?

I won't renew as it stands, nothing to do with Blues' predicament but purely down to Covid and the uncertainty of actually being able to get in to watch a game. I'll most probably pay on the day on the day until Christmas and then buy a half season ticket. Clubs need to encourage the like of me away from doing that because there's always something that could happen in between which makes people change their mind. They need to be inventive and come up with a way of making fans commit now. Читать дальше...
