Re: by any measure the worst manager in living memory

Small Heath Alliance

Zola has to be bottom. As bad as Cotterill and Karanka were they both walked in to teams who had barely survived, Zola walked in to a team sitting just outside the playoffs and would've relegated them.

I did like Gianfranco though, he was well spoken and never publicly called the fans or players out that I can remember.

Cheltenham Day 1 (48 replies)

Morning All
Its a bit early but i thought i would make a start. I think most of us have probably got an extra spring in our step today, i know i have, hopefully things start to improve, is a top half finish too much to ask...

I imagine the bookies would have been desperate to get back on course for Cheltenham, however, i think come Friday they may be thankful they couldn't bet this week, there looks to be a whole host of favourites that look good things.
12 or more winning Favs was 14/1 on Betfair last night, 13/2 now. Читать дальше...

Who would sell out to be bought by a rich company that invest all the way to the top of the prem? Forsaking all tradition and history?

I’m a big fan of the Bundesliga and it’s really interesting to see Leipzig and how people view their club.

Personally for me I’m in with the trials and tribulations of supporting blues, but isn’t the idea of ridiculous level investment appealing??

*disclaimer this is just a what if post, I have no inside knowledge of a red bull take... Читать дальше...

Re: Red Bull Birmingham

Red Bull are already in at Salzburg would they want another team?

They’ve got several.

RB Salzburg
RB Leipzig
New York Red Bulls
RB Bragantino (Brazil)

An English team makes sense for them though I’m not sure what laws the FA have on this.

They tend to take over very small clubs or new franchises within a sizeable city that currently doesn’t have a big league team, so I don’t think they’d go for Blues.

Someone like York... Читать дальше...

Redditch Blue

And we’d be right to, because it has been all talk. We’ve been told repeatedly in recent weeks and months by the boss how hard they’re all working and what a great bunch they are. He’s then, several times, chucked them under a bus.
We’ve also been told by players how unified everyone is and how convinced they are that they’ll turn it around if they keep doing what they’re doing.
The evidence of recent days, in my book at least, says the above is indeed all talk, aka bullshit.

Re: Simon Jordan wades into Bowyer and Blues row with scathing rant

Small Heath Alliance

He probably just in a bad mood with the sun bed places being closed.

Scanning the Charlton forum last night most seemed to think Bowyer did a great job for them in really difficult times. This is his fourth season though and that things were starting to get a little stale so probably best to move on. Especially with a new owner probably looking to bring in his own choice.

Re: Juke

Small Heath Alliance

It has to be Cosgrove and Hogan if we play two up front. Cosgrove is more mobile than Juke these days.

Juke off the bench in a team set up to actually fecking get forward sounds great. Imagine defending against Cosgrove and Hogan for an hour, and just as you're starting to blow out your arse Jutkiewicz comes on. You'd be gutted.

Single Malt

I have £40 birthday money and fancy trying a new malt. This is my favourite at the moment. It's an Islay but not overpowering with peatiness.

Any suggestions and why you like them. Would prefer to avoid Speyside, prefer Islay or northern malts.

Re: Laptop advice

Small Heath Alliance

Some laptops it's a faff as you have to basically crack the case off to get to the drive but the Toshiba's I repair at work daily literally 2 screws and slide the drive out.

If you can put new batteries in a kids toy you're capable.

The tricky part for Joe public is what to do with the new drive iself / installing windows. Which, if you don't have a cd, involves creating a bootable usb drive, to enter the windows installer. Then for home laptops at least, you have to work out... Читать дальше...
