With the addition of the Nintendo Switch, I now have five video game consoles connected to my television. That means a lot of HDMI cables, but it also means a lot of controllers laying around. When you start adding second (or third, or fourth) controllers for multiplayer games, things add up quickly.

It’s easy to hate on the Twitter thread, that weird form where somebody tweets, then replies to their own tweet, and so on ad infinitum until it finally ends.

LG has announced that its “next flagship smartphone,” widely reported to be the V30, will feature a six-inch OLED panel as rumored. LG is describing the screen as a FullVision display, meaning it'll have a taller 18:9/2:1 aspect ratio and thinner surrounding bezels like a G6. The display is said to cover 109 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and support HDR10, as well as having been chosen with VR performance in mind. Asus’ new ZenFone AR, which supports both Google’s Tango augmented reality tech and its Daydream virtual reality platform, is available for preorder at Verizon for $648 outright or $27 per month on a leasing plan. Asus had been rather quiet about the pricing and availability details of its AR-enabled handset, even refusing to disclose the details at a hands-on press event in San Francisco last week. It was only yesterday that Microsoft announced a new built-in eye tracking feature for Windows 10, but the company is already interested in getting the accessibility option out in the wild. The latest Windows Insider preview build includes support for a beta version of Eye Control, as it’s called, so long as you have the compatible Tobii Eye Tracker 4C. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said today the forthcoming Model Y electric crossover vehicle will be built on a similar architecture to the recently released Model 3, in an effort to bring the car to market sooner. The news, announced in an earnings call Wednesday, is a reversal from several months ago, in which Musk claimed the all-electric compact SUV would be “completely different” from anything Tesla has produced before.

On the heels of the Model 3 launch last week, Tesla says it is still growing sales of its Model S and Model X amid a soft luxury car market. But boasts of growth don’t make up for the amount of cash the company has burned through to get Model 3 launched by its end of the year target.

In its second-quarter earnings report today, fitness-tracking company Fitbit said that its long-awaited smartwatch, which we’ve reported has been delayed due to production issues, will be available by this holiday season.
