Interesting watch for any Bears fans out there:

He was asked ‘Blues or Villa’ and answered Blues, though I sensed it wasn’t really a topic he knew a lot about, he knew someone who worked at the club but couldn’t remember their name when pushed!

Still, a great bowler in our golden era. Geoff Humpage took him under his wing when he first arrived - maybe that was the link with Blues he couldn’t remember!

Re: After lockdown

Not trying to underestimate the real concerns people with serious health issues face, but isn't there a danger that you become so scared of dying that you forget how to live anyway? It's a dilemma and I don't envy you. All the best.

Re: Burnley - An aspirational target?

Small Heath Alliance

sadly, nothing lasts forever for most clubs unless you are one of big 6 and maybe someone like Everton

Not so long ago Stoke wwre held up as a club to be like, they looked certain to renain a mid table prem club for the rest of time and then Bang! they are relegated. Remember Boro were buzzing in 90s, getting to cup finals and signing big stars ans full houses
Not so long ago Burnley went down but kept Dyche abd bounced back.
There are loads of examples in the PL era of clubs... Читать дальше...

After lockdown

Small Heath Alliance

There are a few people on this forum who have underlying health conditions including myself.
So if the lockdown is lifted in the near future how will you feel about getting out there and socially mixing with everyone again? For me it’s a dilemma as I and my wife havent been out of the house for eight weeks up to now and nobody has come into the house either. Of course we are missing our kids and grandkids but is the chance to see them/ hug them worth the risk of getting this disease? Also how long do we stay in isolation. Читать дальше...

Re: K League match

Not the best of matches, but it was genuinely nice to see a football being moved around a pitch again. Really looking forward to watching the German football when that starts next weekend -Schalke v Dortmund; local derby.

Happy VE day. (4 replies)

I was 10 at the time and I recall the street party and being able to draw the curtains back with the lights on.
No omre black outs!

The Allies had faith then that victory would prevail and we need that faith now to defeat the virus.

Was stood outside my house with my choc lab Beaufort. In the cul-de-sac there is a street party all decked out with union flags etc and Big TV and sound bar showing the live feed. Nice atmosphere with the sun beating down.

Re: Season ticket renewal.

Small Heath Alliance

I’ll renew soon as available. If the games are behind closed doors I am sure they will be made available via BluesTV or something.

I am fortunate in that I have not been financially affected by the lockdown and can afford the £350 or so my ticket costs.

League 1 and 2 (29 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

To be abandoned but promotion and relegation to take place.

Most likely resolved by a weighted PPG method to factor in home and away games.

Coventry, Oxford and Rotherham coming up.

Re: League 1 and 2

Small Heath Alliance

That has led to a few more quips from those in the game. “They’re all so desperate to play in the Premier League,” one source said, “that they’re willing to not play the Premier League at all.”

Quite.
