Anything. We sort the rounds into various categories

Honest answer Pub or Football? (9 replies)

If only one was an option? For me it's got to be Pub. As much as I love Blues the pub before and (sometimes) after before Rab pipes up makes the Blues what it is.

Anglo-Italian Cup (1 reply)

I found this website with links to our Anglo-Italian games in the 1990s, brings back a few memories:

The Battle of Ancona gets a mention of course:

Violence and disorder – old habits die hard…

The aggression and indiscipline that marred the original incarnation of the tournament in the 1970s resurfaced again two decades later. The clash of playing and officiating styles seemed to bring out the worst in players during a spate of bad-tempered exchanges. Читать дальше...

The EFL will probably deduct us points now because we’re making people redundant in this difficult time.

As I've been suggesting there needs to be not so much a bail out but rather the money stolen since 1992 handed back to our 92 football clubs

The grim, greedy insistence that a few clubs must keep so much of football’s money has been damaging for years and now, in this terrible crisis, the game faces a compelling case to put itself back together again.

Can you name 10 London Football Stadiums that have hosted boxing fights?

No, but I do seem to remember Muhammad Ali being a guest at the Blues in the mid 80’s. Cant remember which game it was but I’m sure he was presented to the crowd before the game.

Re: What was the game?

Small Heath Alliance

I'm pretty sure that it was the Barnsley game. Carrick turned up over three years later than Terry Cooke, by the way. I can remember one Sunday game against Ipswich at home (I think) when he was looking up in the air for most of the game as the ball was launched over his head. I think he was substituted in the end but couldn't swear to that.

Thinking about that penalty miss, I think it was at the Tilton and I think he put it wide or over the bar. I was in the Railway Upper tier that night. Читать дальше...

What was the game?

Small Heath Alliance

When Bruce took a penalty for us and missed? Home game and I only remember it happening once. (I am doing a quiz for my eldest and this may be a question)

And if I remember rightly he wasn't the normal penalty taker that season but can't remember who it was?
I know Frainy was still about but not sure if he played much in the same side as brucie. So if not Frainy who was it??

Yes! Spike said it was the second game at Villa and he was right, I couldn't get the article because of the paywall but that's definitely it, thanks.
