I went for a walk this morning...

Small Heath Alliance

Found this at the back of the drawer, haven't worn it for a long while. Wore it this morning when I went for a walk around Twickenham with the wife. Very quiet, hardly any traffic, then a van drives past beeping it's horn and waving out the window. "Who are they?", says the missus. "Blues", I reply. "We're everywhere". Wife roles eyes. Part-time Hammers fan.

Massive club. ;-)

Re: Maghoma and Grounds to leave Blues

Both players made contributions when we needed them. Grounds was the more consistent at that 6 or 7 out of 10, and was certainly the most reliable defender that season that has been commented upon several times. Maghoma could be a star performer but you never knew what you were going to get, and the one comment that summed him up was that he never really liked playing football anyway. I wonder if that is true? Thanks to both of them.

Season ticket question. (21 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Wimbledon football club have asked their fans to waive any refunds due to them.
Personally I would be ok with this as for me this season is kaput,
Nobody saw this 5hitestorm coming so the club can’t really be held responsible for not playing the season out.
Obviously lots of people have been put into a difficult financial position because of the situation and would welcome a refund. What do you think?

I get a lot from my St irrespective of owners etc. My family, and the easy chance to meet good friends for a shared afternoon of emotion, good or bad. I'm lucky. I can afford it. But I recognise that others might have to make tougher decisions than me. So I think that refunds or offsets for next season should be offered. I wouldn't take it up.nbut I wouldn't begrudge aynone who did as not "proper blues".

Just another indication of how "brand businesses" work hard to protect the primary asset. Screw fans, football etc. That's the just way it is, I guess.
It's the evolution from a sport to a cash machine I guess. We missed the wave. Not in the same way as Highgate or Alvechurch or whoever. I'm not sure if I would've wanted to catch it tbh.
