Jeff Schultz: The Hawks have added former Pistons and Raptors assistant Brittni Donaldson to Quin Snyder’s coaching staff. She is the first female coach in franchise history and her job will have a focus on analytics. She co-founded @StrataAthletics, basketball camps in the Austin area.

Ros Gold-Onwude: Reporting from #NBAFinals: I spoke with Tyler Herro ahead his Game 2 pregame routine and he told me he experiences both soreness and swelling in the right hand after shooting and he can feel the soreness when he’s making a “follow through” shooting motion. He also shared his consideration of not wanting to come back and mess up the rhythm of the team. Jimmy Butler: 'We're not worried about what anybody thinks'

Michael Malone explains decision to not take timeout at the end of Game 2

After the game, Malone explained his decision to not take a timeout and write up a play, even though he had two to use. Team USA’s roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup in the Philippines is beginning to take shape, and it will include at least two rising NBA stars making their American national team debut. Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards, Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Austin Reaves and Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis have committed to play for Team USA, league sources told The Athletic.
