Adrian Wojnarowski: BREAKING: The Washington Wizards are finalizing a trade to send All-Star G Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns, sources tell ESPN. Beal’s waiving his no-trade to form a new Big 3 with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Teams are still working thru framework, but Beal is headed to Suns.

I think a Bradley Beal trade will happen, and will happen soon. The truth is, the Wizards don’t have much leverage. I think both team officials and Beal himself realize that parting ways is inevitable. In my opinion, what must be done eventually should be done immediately, especially in this instance. It’s difficult to envision a scenario in which Beal would substantially enhance his value if the Wizards keep him into the season ahead.

The latest team to have interest in Grant Williams looking ahead to free agency is the Dallas Mavericks, league sources told HoopsHype. It’s worth noting Williams and Mavericks star Luka Doncic are both represented by WME Sports. Another forward the Mavericks are interested in heading toward free agency is Harrison Barnes, league sources told HoopsHype. Barnes previously averaged 18.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in three seasons with Dallas.

Toronto Raptors free agent guard Fred VanVleet is expected to command $30-plus million annually, according to NBA executives who spoke with HoopsHype. New Rockets coach Ime Udoka is believed to covet a veteran point guard, according to league sources, and VanVleet is among a wide list of targets for Houston this offseason, as noted in a recent HoopsHype podcast with Rockets beat writer Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

The belief among various NBA executives who spoke with HoopsHype is that Nikola Vucevic, one of the top free agents on the market, will re-sign with the Chicago Bulls. Vucevic’s projected free agency value, according to those executives, is three years in the $65 million range.
