Warrington Wolves • Technical Difficulties

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

So one thing I again noticed at the game today, the issues with scoreboard, clock and big screen.

It just makes it look so amateur.

As for the game mixed bag some moments of class some real poor defensive lapses, and a poor call from VR and some poor misses for forward passes from touch judges.

Rads actually said at the time that the signings of Mago and Ellis were expressly for this reason.

Ellis is decent, puts in a shift but Mago is just Feka mk2 - in the second half against Saints he was so slow in the defensive line (turns like a supertanker) that he was pretty much a passenger, size isn't everything. We do need size but not at the cost of anything else - we desperately need at least one experienced heavyweight prop plus perhaps a decent impact prop... Читать дальше...

While I appreciate your solemnity Arthur I'm just getting a tad jaded with the revolving door philosophy on team progression while we sit in the shadows of others if that offends you I apologise.

It's okay, Olly Russell is back next week against Wire.....

Thank god Olly was playing today, i have no idea what we would have done without his tipping the ball on to the man outside him and giving away three tries. Don't think i would have noticed he was playing if not for the two missed tackles that directly led to tries and the one he missed in the air that led to another.

Hull FC • Shopping list for 2024

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I think stats showed last night how we really need to invest in our go forward. Leigh’s starting props made more meters than our full pack.

Each week it becomes more and more obvious what we need

I hope Savelio stays and then I’d look at definitely bringing in a quota prop and back rower.

Then the last quota spot is a shoot out between another prop and a hooker. This depends on the confidence In DH and DB and how the 24/25 recruitment window is looking.

No different to the "our seasons over" talk in June.

We'll get some bodies back and we'll be tough to beat again. A bit like how Saints were losing games but are now winning them again. Amazing what happens when your best players are fit and able to play.

I’ve not said the season is over, I’m questioning the state of players within the side who have no competition and the lack of depth in the squad. We will most likely do what we always do and... Читать дальше...

Jon Wells analysis of the defensive frailities on Sky was spot on.
The issue was Duftys organization of the line - a key full back attribute.
Loads of people criticize the Sky presenters but I've watched really good analysis by both Phil Clarke and Jon Wells

Wakefield Trinity • Takeover updates

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

The sooner a takeover happens the better.

There’s little point in them releasing any news or posts on the club Facebook page etc because a section of fans just take the Mickey constantly and prod fun at the club or players. Unfortunately these fans are part of the problem imo as to why communication has dampened to fans.

Says it all when Minards twitter post says he’s hesitating to post an update due to the anticipated negativity it could generate.

Well big ask to win. IMO we just not at the top table this year. So if we keep putting the effort in like the last 7 matches then I'll be happy. We need fresh blood for next year and am sure Smith is sorting it out. Hopefully 5/6 new faces. Till then let's get behind them and who knows. We are taking Hull FC here lol

I was confident of turning Saints over especially if we had beaten Leigh which given the fact that we gifted them their tries from our errors and indiscipline we should have done. Читать дальше...

Seemingly nothing to do with his York loan, Oli Pratt is playing for the reserves this aft.

It's everything to do with the York loan. He was pulled back from York to be named in our squad for this week but we then released he couldn't play for the first team. He is though allowed to play for the reserves as the conditions don't prevent that so better he gets some game time as opposed to none at all.

Charnley also has both feet off the floor and isn't even close to being in control of the contact on Clifford, it's at best reckless at worst malicious, both of which should have seen him go for 10 mins minimum.

One of our forwards should have got hold of Charnley but we haven't got it in us.

Well, well, well. Still the same old moaning minnies on here, I see! And greg, you must be knocking on 70, eh?

My twopenneth for what it's worth. There's trouble at t'mill methinks. Summat not quite right. Just imo. Picking an out and out fullback on the bench AND NOT PLAYING HIM was scandalous. At the end of the day there's no substitute for quality, as once so famously said by the great Howard Wilkinson, so no matter how "lazy" some players appear to be, like Doro, they can afford to be lazy cos natural quality beats hard work.
