Halifax Panthers • Re: York on Sunday.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Surprising to me York have found themselves due to various reasons in the relegation scrap. Newcastle look gone to me but the other spot could be 1 of a number of clubs so that makes them dangerous opponents on sunday. They did lose last night in what sounded like a seesaw type of game and it will surely have taken a toll on them as part time players with another short turnaround for Sundays game. I will go for a fax win 16-30.

Nothing to do with Danson/Stadium ownership etc.

Let's say people went ahead and didn't do things to Stadium rules and specifications like they should. They had to be removed BEFORE any takeover was agreed

Thanks for clearing that up, Jukes.

Gate money and season ticket sales are nowhere near the top of the revnue streams, as much as the fans like to think that they arfe the most important factor, they are not. Granted sponserships and advertisers wouldnt be as high without the fan base but still as a revue stream it is somewhere near the bottom of the list.

Is he athletic enough ? Can he play 80 minutes ?

He's always been a 2nd row until Smith came in. But he's not quick enough for an edge forward. His workrate wasn't the bedt when he played there. Moving him to prop forced him to up his workrate, and he's definitely improving in that regard

Not arguing but just not seeing it. He burst onto the scene, I got excited but the hype was too much and he hasn't kicked on. Of course he has potential but he really needs to start showing it.

I'd go with that. I've seen comments that he's gone backwards but I don't agree, he's just not gone forwards much (if at all). He has stood still in most aspects of his game. If your eyes are on a move that is happening... Читать дальше...

Let's hope he is fit. Will need him for the subtlety of his attacking game and also his sheer defensive work rate down the middle. Will also need Oledzki, Holroyd, and Lisone to find their best form against the threat of Vaughan and Kasiano. We've beaten ourselves in a lot of games this season, but at Wire on the 1st night we got a real beating. We owe them one. Читать дальше...

Saw this little line in an email from Geoff Warburton regarding hospitality:

'the stadium is now in joint ownership with Wigan Warriors for the first time.'

I know many suspected this would be the case but surprised this hasn't been confirmed in a press release as its quite significant?

They have AJ Brimson, who wants to play 6 and Toby Sexton at 7, with Jayden Campbell now in the frame for fullback. There are a few Roosters names being hawked about as leaving... Читать дальше...

At the fans forum wasn`t it stated by the club that we had spent £ 1.5 million on this years squad, that was pre Fafita and the French lads. So I do not think money was the problem.
