Just seen the pics. Can't blame him. I hate to say it, but he's exactly the type of player they need.

When you look at club trained players from last season -

(Newman, Handley, Oledzki, Holroyd, Smith, O’Connor, Gannon, Johnson, Sinfield, Simpson, Nicholson-Watton, Edgell, Lumb, Smith, Warren, Ruan)

You’d think that Newman, Handley, Oledzki or Smith will be our highest paid club trained player. Which ever it is, will only count as £50k on the cap in 24, reduced from £75k

The overseas marquee player rule is £150k which is obviously going to be Brodie Croft. Читать дальше...

So Rhys Kennedy from HKR. Big lad by the looks of it.

It will be interesting to see how he goes, given we will most likely be a championship side in 2024 and he'll be off somewhere else afterwards.
If Eccles can motivate players to give their all, then we may surprise a few next year and personally, if we are earmarked for the 2nd tier, I genuinely hope we don't finish bottom, just so as to make IMG a tad more uncomfortable.

Hull FC • 2024 fixtures

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Sky Bet are apparently offering odds on these fixtures for weekend 10th/11th August which suggests that's when Magic weekend will happen

Catalans Dragons vs Hull KR
Huddersfield Giants vs Castleford Tigers
Hull FC vs London Broncos
Leigh Leopards vs Salford Red Devils
Warrington Wolves vs Leeds Rhinos
Wigan Warriors vs St Helens

Not sure how that date would work though as it's around when the Premier League will be kicking off.

Will there be any coverage of the club? What about from a non-club specific reporter such as Matthew Shaw who works for Reach.

What about Hull City - will they still have a club reporter at Hull Live?

I think that's what will happen, everything will go through Matt Shaw now. Seems like a load of work for 1 man

I think history shows that there's a lot of risk attached to a big name overseas prop. Maybe it applies to overseas players in all positions who are in the latter stages of their careers. But off the top of my head the list below were big names in the NRL and none did particularly well.

Rhys Kennedy
George Burgess
Zane Tetevano
Frank Pritchard
Stephen Kearney
Frank-Paul Nu'uausala

That statement is a smokescreen, the objection that's been lifted isn't the EA one on the flood risk assessment(well lack of one) on Weldon road, it relates to the warehousing and distribution development at Glasshoughton that will fund the stadium re-vamp, planning permission still has to be approved on both sites and currently the EA's objection still stands... Their build isn't even properly funded due to the Environment Agencies objection and the cost of meeting their demands.

The earliest planning permission could go in is January, it seems, and we all know how that process isn't straight forward.

Then the time taken to get contracts in place etc...then timing builds to have the least affect on the on-going business...

Cas won't be scoring improved IMG stadium points for at least 3 years.

Bradford Bulls • Odsal lease up for sale

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

VP is 13 metres too short. The minimum pitch requirement is 88 metres length plus 6 metres each in-goal. Plus 3 metres between in goal and barriers. That equates to a total pitch length of 116m. VP is 103m. I suppose we could have a back-office conversation with the RFL to ask if they'd authorise our permanent home being significantly undersized, and we'd then know if was even an option.

The gap to the barriers is a safeguarding issue which I wouldn't really want to tinker with. When we play... Читать дальше...
