Wakefield Trinity • Fifita Chat

BS. We had decent options as well as Fifita in 2017 and 2018 where we did quite well in the league.

Agree, in 2017 we had Huby, England and even Keegan Hirst who put in some decent shifts for us that year off the bench. With 3 games to go, we had a chance at the GF but it was not to be. As I said earlier, between 2016 when he came, and when the team started to fall apart around Covid when we were in 4th placeQ at the time, we got to the CC semi and had 3 5th place finishes... Leeds Rhinos • Catalan Dragons Ticket Question.

The ticket price was £20 last year. If they charged €20 on the gate, that’s £17.28.

When spending hundreds of pounds on a weekend away, I'm not going to worry about £2.72 difference in pricing. Especially as the extra cost guarantees I can be seated exactly where I want to be.

It's worth noting that Leeds gets 25% of the away ticket price if bought from our ticket office. For that reason, I buy all away tickets from the Leeds ticket office when possible, and encourage others to do the same. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Caleb Uele

I'm sure Pauli Pauli came back one year for pre-season well over 20 stone LOL. Big Dave was 120kg, as are players like the Burgess twins and a few of the other big men in the NRL and one or two in SL. It all depends on whether they can carry that weight, keep their foot speed, which he seems to have quite quick feet for his size, and still put in the minutes. If they can like Dave used to, you've got yourself a weapon. Saying that by the start of the season, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a bit closer to 115kg like their kid is. Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • Magic Weekend 2024 - Elland Rd

I’ll be going as it’s on the doorstep, but I think it’s a seriously flawed concept. There’s no way an extra game plucked out of the sky can ever be fair, and teams missing out on a place or two in the league ( or even being relegated) is an absolute joke. I’ve had my fun over the years when I was drinking like a fish, but that was the wrong reason to look forward to an event. There has always been an increasingly nasty and violent undercurrent depending on where you put yourself at M.W, and I’m more than happy to see it bite the dust. Читать дальше...

London Broncos • Re: Recruitment and retention for 2024

Knowing as we do that without some major skullduggery taking place in the IMG Points means Prizes debacle, I can't see any decent SL player fancying a 1 season sojourn in London. Very hard to put yourself as an ambitious young player in the shop window if your team is being battered weekly.

I hope I'm wrong, but don't see too much in the squad building to suggest we will trouble many sides this year. It must be very hard psychologically for the players knowing no matter how well they play or where they finish... Читать дальше...

What I am saying is the money might have been spent on a couple of players which gives the whole team more options and strength in depth , maybe half decent forward and possibly the half back we have always moaned about. Someone in the Snead mould not necessarily him but as an example who often pop's up with the goods when needed as we know.

Then "maybe" two things....
The players weren't available and we didn't have the money....

It's that sort of narrow minded small time thinking that stands in the way of progress.

It's a good job the people that invented the wheel or fire didn't listen to people like you. Or we'd still be eating raw meat and you'd have to carry your TV, Fridge etc. when you moved cave.

After 9 months without a website, we now have a gremlin in the works. Anybody who thinks we are going to Ace the IMG grading is sadly mistaken. The solution at the club is to recruit a "Content Producer" paying circa £28K I hope they get someone good.

On a personal note, I have written twice... Читать дальше...
