They tried to get it at Newcastle and they couldn’t offer a date in August and this might have been the case for other venues, I don’t personally have an issue with Elland Road, yes it’s a bit old and out of the centre but not many grounds are too close to the town/city centre and I think being in a mix of pubs promotes fans to just stay in the pub until their team play so it might improve the amount of neutral watchers, Leeds is also a great City to be in before/after the matches. Just a heads up for anyone getting a new shirt. I've just been to the club shop tonight to get the home shirt, I usually get medium but have had to buy XL. The sizes are way off and very small.

Impressed by Donny's recruitment but nobody keeps every player fit all season. Don't look behind you, Bulls, look forward.
Fixtures out tomorrow?

Must admit I did feel a bit lost when they stopped them towards the end of last season

A bit OT but Doncaster have made another decent signing in Joe Lovodua, someone who I had hoped we might have been in for at some stage.
That makes 8 very decent signings (alongside Craig Hall, Alex Sutcliffe, Reece Lyne, Suaia Matagi, Pauli Pauli, Josh Guzdek and Luke Briscoe).
Are Donny a team to be genuinely concerned about in terms of securing a top 4 position again?

We might have £150k but that may include 3 players budgeted as marquee, either way the market for marquee or even players at £150k a year that are non quota must be slim to none this late in the off season?

Although I pay annually I rarely go on when we're losing away games and attend all homes anyway. Rumour has it that there's been no content available since the takeover.
I've disabled auto pay for next year.

I was impressed with Lumb when I saw him play v Wigan in the academy and reserves games.
Just a note, watch out for Jack Farrimond from Wigan, he will be 2nd year academy in 2024 but I think he'll also get a 1st team squad number. Not wishing to hex him but he's as good at this age as Edwards and Tomkins IMO..

Looks like the RFL have chosen Elland Road as a spoiler tactic.
The Magic Weekend will be poorly attended there and this will be used as justification for its removal from the Super League schedule.

The downside with places like Newcastle and Cardiff are that you are in walking distance of the city's transport links and amenities. This offers nothing for people who want to be able to explore a rundown industrial wilderness, 2 miles out of the centre with limited places to eat or drink.

LMS joined Quins (Broncos) Academy from Greenwich Admirals (great name) in 2004
Clubb also joined the acadamy.
Think Sarge joined the academy from Hemel Stags.

Trinity will receive a parachute payment, although not the £1m it was 7 years ago, I do believe its a 6 figure sum, the central funding for Champ & L1 last year was around the £40k mark which is a bit of a joke.
Statistics: Posted by financialtimes — Tue Nov 21, 2023 12:11 pm
Anyone know what the central funding is this year?
I'm assuming it goes down significantly.
There is a small bonus for us on IMG in this area. There are 0.75 points available for what % your non central fund income is to the total.
So when the CF goes down, the % goes up, if you can keep the income the same.
Of course you'd expect income to go down in Championship but if sponsors stay and people keep buying season tickets and come to game. And buy shirts. We have a decent chance on that score. Читать дальше...
Fixtures look massively lopsided. Saturday could be a sell out. Good look on the Sunday though

Poor choice, the pits of a stadium and location.

Takes away half the point of the event. Wigan likely to be on the Sunday so will just travel over for that.
Edit: Just seen we're on the Saturday. That's me not going

Not with his form and injury record he is a kind of signing we would have made under Hodgson, could be a Seizer (Hudds spell) or a Reynolds. We couldn't take the risk with that type of signing, Leigh have good enough pivots to maybe take this risk.
