Wakefield Trinity • Justin Horo having a whinge about how he left Trinity

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Just came across this interview on seriousaboutRL, where Horo really lays into the club for basically wanting rid of him. He even says he was on a decent crack here, so IMO he wasn't earning it on the field at the time and Chester will have wanted to make space. But how else are clubs gonna make it obvious, especially if he's been told that they want him to move on and it at least gives him the potential to find another club if he backs his ability? By the sounds of it, he'd have been happy to sit the rest of his contract out in the stands. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Tolouse.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Reading from other official RL sources, Toulouse also have a new owner who is very rich, he has started to look at all NRL players in order to place them above all other championship sides.
Toulouse have the stadium & fan base, the city has 1.5 million population, it is a regional capital.
They scored higher than wakey already.
Therefore it is not a given that we are favourites to win promotion irrespective of results.
I am not sure about how many NRL players they are allowed ie, restrictions we have ? Читать дальше...

Whether it be Kershaw or Olpherts, they would be back up for me, If both JM and Walmsley are fit they are both starters, then we have Franco that looked promising in SL and a number of other cover options if needed in the likes of Kay and Pratt, for me it would be a bit of a waste to have another quality winger sat in the stands.

I think you have a very good signing in Walmsley from what I`ve seen of him.

No, that's incorrect.

2023 = 4319
2022 = 4552

To maintain the 3000 fan boundary, we only need 130 fans average attendance next year.

We know that isn't a problem next year.

Yes, you are correct. We don't need 3,500 to achieve the average this year. I didn't have the other averages in front of me when I posted.
I was meaning we need an average of that number in the stadium as opposed to season ticket holders who don't attend.

As this forums premier supplier of the fruit, you should know. As others have painstakingly tried to explain, the Warriors tipped in a large chunk (not an uncommon occurrence) of his wage whilst at Leeds. He's on a new contract now and this... Читать дальше...

The egg supplier was told not to continue to supply for free and the players then brought their own meals as the budget was rejected as too expensive. Allegedly.

Wakefield Trinity • IMG - Fandom

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I'm not trying to be a know-it-all on this. Just saying how I see it.
But in answer to FIL's question this area is the one the fans can make an impact.

It has 3 sections
1) Attendance - worth 2.5 points ( I think we get 2)
2) Viewership - worth 1 point (I think we get 0.75)
3) Digital - worth 1.5 points (I think we get (0.475)

1) Attendance works on average attendances for a 3 year period
It only includes main season league home games. So not playoff or Cup games.

Talking of size, Charlie Severs really has put some on.
The lad really deserves an injury free run because he's certainly got some talent.

Agreed. I thought he did very well for us once he got fully up-to-speed. He's very solid under the high ball and comes into the line effectively in attack. I thought we'd choose either Elliot Hall or Josh. Pleased we've got both.

Actually, I've just re-read the criteria.
The position in the league is an average over 3 years, but the GF and CC points only apply to the current year.

So baring an absolute disaster, where we finish bottom half of championship and Toulouse win it, we will get the same points for performance of 2.78 as the table reads above
However, if we win the GF and the 1895 we would add 0.35 directly to the IMG score.

Seems a small difference, except when you... Читать дальше...

Any one else slightly disappointed with the lack of media output in the two weeks since pre season began?

I'm sure last season we had weekly videos released of behind the scenes training? All I've seen this year is a clip of Oledski playing on Xbox (?) and a few photos from Roundhay Park training.

Admittedly I'm not on Insta or Snapchat, is there more on there?

You sure? Surely we have 3 designated marquee players now? If we brought in someone as marquee it would relegate one of those to a position where their wage would fully count on the cap, and looking at our squad for next season I find it pretty hard to believe we have much wiggle room for bringing in another player. If we do have room for this and we were willing to spend silly money on Farrell then I would like us to send a transfer fee to Leeds or Hull KR and try to get Smith or Minchella. Читать дальше...
