Say Myler was on £80k. We pay £40k next year, York pay £40k, he’s on the same and will play, we get £40k to bring in Hudson. (I don’t know the real numbers, but the announcements were essentially at the same time).

Same might be the case with Olpherts - even if we pay part salary it may just be enough with what we have left to bring in Kershaw.

I know Myler was a decent player I could just see scenarios where he wouldn’t play a single game of first grade next year. Читать дальше...

I’d say an experienced prop with some impact and strong post contact meter gain is necessery.

Otherwise a strong second row signing would be good. I can see Boothroyd coming off the bench early part of season but need a starting second rower of good quality.

They’re probably priority signings. But they have to be quality with 2025 in mind.

I’d agree. Hill if he comes will be a revelation in the Chsmpionship big minutes and big meters but would be great to bring in an impact Prop. Читать дальше...

Disrespectful might not be the best choice of words but between leaving us and going to Canberra he had obviously been training his booty off/dieting better and got himself in a condition he was never in at Wigan which transferred on to the pitch too.

Some posters should avoid clicking the link though. Mentions a desire to compete in GFs and CC finals. Could be too positive for some

Sadly, this is indeed the most likely outcome without significant change to the club management.

On the other site suggestion that Albert was last year’ s best paid player. Also that Hughes wasn’t overly happy with performances. I can see the latter certainly earlier in the season but the former must surely be a scurrilous rumour. He came from a L1 side if I recall. If true may explain why a few senior players perhaps holding out for a wage increase. One assumes Kennedy has come in for Albert.

If attendance tickets figures are counted for IMG criteria, what about those people who attend the hospitality function on match days? Are they given a match ticket which will be specific for counting, if not then the club could miss out on up to 250 extra spectators at our home games in the attendance figures.
