a note, watch out for Jack Farrimond from Wigan, he will be 2nd year academy in 2024 but I think he'll also get a 1st team squad number. Not wishing to hex him but he's as good at this age as Edwards and Tomkins IMO..

I hope that you do far better with this prediction than your last one Brian

Not making any comments, with my lack of NRL knowledge, but there are plenty of questions and we do not know the answers. One thing is for certain Matt Moylan will be an upgrade on Ben Reynolds, and hopefully, nous will be enough to unlock the potential of the right edge.

Absolute mind boggling, no thinking has gone into these supposed fixtures yet again.

This sport is dying.

Good news is that Ben Littlewood, Marcus Qare Qare, Riley Lumb, Jack Smith, Leo Aliyu, Jack Iceton, Ned McCormack are still part of the first team training set up.

Surely the point of the IMG system is to make clubs focus on generating income, sweating their assets and becoming more viable businesses. The ones who achieve the level of Grade A will be in Super League, however many that may be. The funding distribution becomes less important as these clubs will have a sustainable business model without central funding. Subsequently, if we need Sky (or whoever) less we can demand more - as football does- and have a greater say over how... Читать дальше...

I'd have thought 12 quid was nearer the mark, £15 does seem a bit steep.

The away kit has grown on me - the home kit gives me a headache every time I look at it.

Wakefield Trinity • Championship Central funding

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

There are a few factors at play here.

A lot depends on whether the SL expands to 14, that's two up.

There are also two clubs in SL who from what I'm told might not make it through the 2024 season.

Salford are the obvious one, but I'm also told that London never expected promotion and were caught totally unready. I know they have the SKY money, but as a Championship club they were barely breaking even. In essence the SKY cash is there only income for players, the rest is already spoken for. Читать дальше...

The Virtual Terrace • Magic Weekend 2024 To Be At Elland Road

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

For a one off game fair enough.

For a magic round with multiple games? absolutely not.
There is more round Elland Road than you may think (though admittedly your walking 10 / 20 mins plus)
Peacock will be rammed, Maccies will be rammed.
The only hope is that the land to the side of the stadium is converted into a major fan area replete with stages bars etc

If you’ve bought tickets for the North stand (and there’s room in the West stand) will you be allowed to have an afternoon in the West stand? Mix it up a bit?

Leeds Rhinos • Re: Magic Weekend 2024 - Elland Rd

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Victim of moving dates.

TBF its all a little disappointing the concept is going out with a whimper like this.

Always been a fan of the concept and mixing with all other teams fans in a "weekend away" setting has always (chicken cottage Newcastle 2017 exempted) been good humoured and very good.

Cant help but this has been set up to fail and done to finally kill off the round.

Warrington Wolves • 2024 Fixtures

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Just read on twitter that out first two games are rumoured to be Catalans (A) and then Hull.

Same poster also suggests the other Catalans fixture is the last bank holiday weekend in May, bit surprising if true considering Catalans away is a loop fixture and these are generally played at end of season.

anyone heard anything? All will be revealed later this week but bust looking at travel options for the May option now.

I do think Southampton could be the dark horse to be wary about.
Had you said we would make the play offs at the start of the season I would have thought it optimistic.
Personally I thought a top 8-10 finish first season and play offs/promotion the following year.
To think we are now discussing an automatic place and at worse play offs says a lot for how Farke has got the team playing in a relatively short period of time.

Farke to date has done an absolutely outstanding job. Читать дальше...
