Wakefield Trinity • Lyne to Donny
Was in one of the best three-quarters line ups we have had at Wakefield. Thanks R Lyne for some great memories

I was really looking forward to OF joining but him being back at Saracens rules it out IMO.

I know in the grand scheme of things at the moment it is not a factor however it must be quite a decent money spinner for the club. I would hope that in view of our new start we give a nod to our past by reverting to a traditional shirt of red, white and blue. I always thought that a blue shirt with a red and white V for a different variation would look good and is more recognisable that a two tone blue with gold trimmings.
Blue with a white V and red border, from the sneak preview. It'll look like a Trinity shirt, which is the main thing.

It's a much better squad than in previous years for sure. The only question really is do we have enough strength in depth if we get a few key injuries. DO we have quality in the rosta for players to fill secondary roles. Hoepfully they all stay fit but over the course of a season you are bound to lose players for a few weeks here and there. Only time will tell..
Another Barrie McDermott style prop would be good..

You’re spot on. It would be a signing that screamed “look at us and how much money we have.” It would make sense commercially and I appreciate how big the story would be because of who he is, his name, his stature in world sport. But from a playing point of view I just don’t get it.
For him to play at 6 it would mean French or Field going and trust me,... Читать дальше...
35yr old and will probably be on a 7yr contract! Do we have a flashing light over the stadium saying come and get your last meal ticket here.

We have got a grade A license and in no danger of dropping out of super league so why not blood our young 2nd rowers,But let’s let them develop and if things aren’t going our way come on here and slag them off like posters do with other players…end of the day the pull a shirt on and play one of the toughest sports going…could some of our keyboard warriors do it..doubt it…only thing they will pull is their manhood when certain players have a bad game or we lose. Not to be pedantic, but Trinity rather than Wildcats.

Me too Faxlore me too. If Walmsley does leave i would of like us to either keep Maizen or try and sign Luke briscoe but it looks like he is Donny bound like many others or Oldham bound who seem to be signing all and sunday.

Not sure how accurate those height and weight stats are given as only yesterday- Wane (who can do no wrong in the eyes of Wigan fans)- actually said that Smithies wasn't as big as Knowles?
Also Zig if you are going to quote stats it would be useful to see average mins per game played, total number of games played etc.
Ironic though that Wane chose Knowles over Smithies for England. Its only now that Knowles is injured that Smithies has been called up.
Makes you think doesn't it. Читать дальше...

It’s very close between Knowles and Smithies for me. I think Smithies had the better season but Knowles has had better seasons than Smithies 2023 level in years gone by. I do think there’s potential Smithies goes past Knowles in the coming years as he’s younger and is going to test himself in a better comp. I think Knowles should have already looked to test himself in the NRL and if the opportunity comes up again, he should go. I do think he’s gone a bit stale at Saints and he lost his way a bit in 2023. Читать дальше...

Despite winning their first eight games of the season, Warrington went on to finish outside of the Super League play-offs as Daryl Powell lost his job and Gary Chambers took charge on an interim basis.
