Wigan Warriors • Latics in administration - Lenagan leading bid

OT but it would be good to read something about the rugby for once in Wigan Today. Sadly they just seem obsessed with Latics at the moment. I don't think Kendrick (the deputy sports editor) has even mentioned Wigan RL once.

Cooper talking in the mirror that he intends to play on. Radders is/was in Oz. Marquee rule discussions happening tomorrow (I think). King talking about his future etc.

Loads to talk about, but we get to hear about the latest BS from the blue side. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Contract window - behind the 8 ball again

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Just thinking about 2024 and recruitment for this.

Who does everyone think we should sign?

I think priorities are the below for me.

A speedy winger who can find the line - there was a rumour of Gareth Gale on social media. He can score a try and is a pretty aggressive unit. Would be decent. I know he is under contract but I 100% would go for Lachlan Walmsley at Halifax. Lad has some pace and athletic ability and has an unreal try scoring record. Worth a fee imo. Whatever league... Leigh Leopards • Re: Huddersfield (Away)

Don't get me going on Ridyard again!!.

Alright, yes, he did play very well in this game.

Is it only Leigh who can outplay a team for 40 mins, score try after try and still end up hanging on for the win at the end of the 80?

Danny Ward would be my pick if we're playing fantasy rugby. That would be an appointment that would offer some hope and a coach I'd trust to improve the players we already have in the short term. Whether he would risk his reputation by coming to Bradford.. I'm not sure. .

I don't think Danny Ward is entirely beyond us.

He's had one coaching gig where he overachieved. Nothing since, even though he went for the Leeds job last year and the Cas job this year, neither of which he got. Читать дальше...

You got rid of them last season and you were saved from relegation by a very poor Toulouse side.

If you mean you'd like to ignore an entire season in order to make your narrative work, then go ahead. The rest of us prefer not to change history.

At what point did Cooper join you and King join Huddersfield?. Also several other players left at various other points, along with players coming in at random moments.

Even you would admit that wouldn't... Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • LOAN OUT | Jack Broadbent - Featherstone Rovers

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Given we were 0-0 after 45 minutes we were most certainly in danger of losing. We had invited Wakefield to take the lead and as I say all it would have taken was for Wakey to score the first 1-2 tries like Cas did and the game would have been very different. They were poor in attack but one try would have improved their confidence and output no end.

I generally agree on your positivity with Leeds that we are not as bad as some performances make out etc. but disagree on the above.

Leigh Leopards • Huddersfield (Away)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Three days to go. The Giants have not been at their best this season and have lost three times at home....so far. They took a spanking last Friday but will they do so again this coming one? Not sure. Hopeful, but not sure.

Cokey will soon be along with the squad lists.

In the interim, here's a little footage from the last time Huddersfield had a poor season that coincided with Leigh being on the up. The Giants' comeback as Leigh tired was less than enjoyable, plus it should be admitted that the game was at LSV... Читать дальше...

What you mean is, a new coach came in, told a bunch of underachieving egos that they had to pull their fingers out or else, and a group of those egos basically saw their arses and behaved like petulant children and have now been moved on, leading to a massive upturn in results.

So it wasn't really a rift, just a fella doing his job correctly.

I don’t disagree, however the post I was responding to was saying there isn’t any issue between Powell and King…I don’t believe that is the case.

London Broncos • 12 months on, nothing has changed

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

roughly 12 months ago we had a critical 4 pointer vs Dewsbury, which if we lost we looked doomed to go down.

fast foward 12 months (+ 2 weeks) and we have a critical 4 pointer vs Barrow which if we lose we are very likely to go down.....

Where is Bill Murray, I have a gopher I need shooting (yes I am combining two bill murray fims here but caddyshack is one of my favourite films)

Wigan Warriors • Leeds (H)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Two big games coming up both against Leeds, firstly the league game on Friday at home where we need to pick up points to stay in touch with Wire at the top, then a cup game away to Leeds the week after which is must win for obvious reasons.

Trying to be positive maybe it was a good thing we got beat at Hull last week, hopefully reinvigorating us ready to perform well over the next few weeks.

Leeds are a strange one, can look bloody awful one week and then can pull a result out of the bag. Читать дальше...
