Leigh Leopards • Curtis Scott

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Well, according to the Aussie version of The Daily Telegraph and repeated the other day through Total Rugby League, we, along with 2 other SL clubs, have been involved in talks to sign total bad boy and currently NRL banned Aussie centre, Curtis Scott.
I will just throw that one into the mix.

Hull FC • Pre-season.

Throwback today with the team running up the hills of Brantingham, used to do the business for us in the 00s.

Also its really noticable how many new faces there are im zooming in on the group pic like 'who?' but for me thats a good thing, the team needed a new group to build a new culture.

Ffs Firpo out for 3 weeks with a hamstring injury.
Just get rid of the useless fecker in January and get in another LB.
Personally I would also keep Joseph and not let him go out on loan as I`m sure Bamford will get injured in the next few weeks and it would leave us short up front.

I am not too sure on that one.

It could get a bit messy if that was the case.

Can you really imagine the club stipulating that?

Contractually they will be obliged to start pre season as when the club deems. There will then be individual agreements on top of that.

I don't think my post was clear - I meant the club may have stipulated that Mago needs to return early for pre season.

Leeds Rhinos • Cameron Smith - Captain

I agree with Batley. He took it on himself to pick up some of the slack last year when people around him weren't performing. He shouldn't need to do the same next term, and will likely address any on-field issues in a more vocal way now he has the armband and his role is clearly defined.

Isn't that the same at every club?

Bradford are hardly breaking record attendances these days. Aren't they wanting to reduce the capacity of Odsal due to only getting 3k-4k on a matchday?

Warrington Wolves • Recruitment rumours and links

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Bit surprised at some of the comments on Danny Walker. In my eyes, his distribution is far better than Clark’s who can be slow and ponderous in his passing. Am sure he will go well at Saints but we have had the best of him expect Walker to push on especially after his England debut.

That is a good suggestion and if Penrith have any young players who would benefit from spending a year in england on loan to us that would be great too.

I like Danny Walker but feel he can improve his distribution from dummy half. Sometimes it is a bit slow when he seems to put his hands on the ball, look at where he is passing, check the ball and then pass not always into the bread basket of the receiving player. It just seems a bit slow and ponderous and not one fluid movement. Perhaps a lesson from Kevin Ellis on how to pass might help.

First round away at Oldham - they look to have recruited what would have been a strong Championship squad so should be an interesting test.

Very funny yet informative pre luncheon speech from Ben Thaler at the club today . He was pointing out that next season when the fans are getting on the officials backs for the raft of penalties that will blight the game in the early rounds until the players get a grip on the rules ,is purely down to the RL’s insurance company pulling out after 40 years of association with our game ,and just one insurance company willing to take the game on out of a raft of 40 that were approached ... Wakefield Trinity • Wakefield Express article

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Has anyone else seen the Wakefield express article posted today about the section 106 agreement for the re development. I’m abit confused as I thought that whole agreement was specifically for the development of Belle vue so why do some councillors have issue with it? It questions the funding transferring to new owners. I thought the money was given to us to allow newcold to build on land. Do we have to pay that money back? And also the sum of money states 6million was put towards it when I thought it was more 8million given via the 106. Читать дальше...

With it confirmed that Penrith are to travel to the UK to play Wigan, lets hope we can reach out and try and secure a warm up game or similar.

The game vs Melbourne Storm around 2007 was a brilliant night. Plus there are all sorts of benefits for the club with joint training sessions etc.

No issue if Saints want to host and train with Penrith. They’ve obviously had dealings with them in recent times and it would be beneficial for Saints to have opposed sessions against quality like that. I think any Superleague club would be mad not to offer the opportunity tbh.

That's another way of looking at it and funnily enough my mate at Wigan said exactly the same thing last night when I put it to him that we may end up hosting Penrith.
