Interesting comments - everyone on here wants to see the youth come through but they have to be of the appropriate ability and mindset. The success of the golden generation was a blend of superb home grown players - Sinfield, Burrow, McGuire very good SL recruits like Senior, Ellis and top quality overseas such as Webb/Buderus/Ali

I don't see any of this happening under Smith at the moment. It seems to me his recruiting is players he has coached previously... Читать дальше...

I think RS doesn't necessarily think the Myler type fullback is the best for the style he wants to play going forward. He's said we play too much out the back, which was Agar's go to play (or allowing Leeming or Dwyer to scoot) and that's why Myler to FB made sense using his ability to pick the right pass when there was an overlap.

I get the impression he wants the best athlete at fullback, the way Tedesco plays, so more of a broken field runner than a play maker... Читать дальше...

6 or 7 is just a number on the back of the shirt in the modern game it means nothing, better is to describe the complementary playing styles of 6 and 7 together.

Either way it sounded from rohans press conference that myler will get the role, Handley at FB, Tindall wing and guess that means Martin staying at centre. I'd have Walters in for sangre, Johnson on the bench let's not pss around with Bentley he either starts back row or doesn't play, which given recent performances... Читать дальше...

I agree. It’s a tough call but he’s a year out and a good recovery after that realistically unlikely to fully recover till 25 and he is a declining force.

If he wants to carry on the contract offer needs to reflect that, but we do have a responsibility to look after him too, not only for him but also because of the message it sends to potential recruits in the future.

I also wouldn’t be in for Satae either. He isn’t the kind of player we need.

He may be good to watch... Читать дальше...
