1 point for McIntosh in the man of steel awards from last week's game...and to think people are calling for him to be dropped

Isa and Cust in the squad. I’d certainly be looking to get a game in to Cust, if we then want him to play next week in a cup game. I’d probably look at pushing Smithies up to prop for this one and use Shorrocks at 13 to start (with a possible move to 6 if Cust needs a breather late on).

I’d go-

French
Miski King Wardle Marshall
Cust Smith
Smithies Powell Havard
Isa Farrell Shorrocks

Subs
Mago Byrne KPP O’Neill

Warrington Wolves • Luke Thompson

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

If we lise Clarke and King plus cap space for TM would that be enough for us to get Luke Thompson?
I know we have alot of forwards atm but would it be maybe a chance for Ben Currie to play at 4and Wrench at 3?

Leeds Rhinos • Re: Where do we go from here

I suppose we need to recalibrate our expectations. Since the start of the goldens (I go a lot further back than then) I’ve expected top 4 and a decent cup run every year. There was a period where I think we were that good we could reasonably expect a final per year.

Since the last hurrah in 2017, it seems that we can’t even expect to make the playoffs or if we do we limp in and fail quickly. Last year was a change, ironically I don’t think we played well, but found a way to win when it mattered. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Re: Contract window - behind the 8 ball again

The other reality is that we know players would negotiate anyway, except it would be done in some quiet location, with no one really knowing, and then released as a surprise announcement at the end of the season.

It would suit no one if it were done at the end. It would create a mad scramble, with players desperate for an income and clubs having no idea who would be coming. This way, it brings certainty and ends the subterfuge.

It's always been the way with clubs at the bottom. It was... Читать дальше...

This is nail on head stuff. McIntosh made a few errors against Wigan. 3 of them weren’t actually errors.

- One, Wigan were offside so technically he gained us a pen lol. But seriously, he would’ve pouched it without the added pressure.
- There was also the interception he knocked on which was a forward pass. Had the pass been spot on he pouches it again.
- Then there was the knockdown that stopped a certain try.

Scott on the other hand dropped a few kicks and had a few errors in his game. Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Recruitment and Retention.

Hiku is NOT worth marquee money any day of the week. He's been ok for the past few years, He does a decent job but nothing special.
Tanginoa would be ideal for 2nd row/prop and i hope if Wakefield do drop we can pick him up, But their last 2 games they've really turned it on so are building towards a win. If proctor wasn't Red carded we weren't looking great to win, and Castleford have only won 2 games so not guaranteed.

Post on Guardian website titled Assessing Wires options ahead of Daryl Clark’s potential departure. No idea what it says as I don’t subscribe.

you seriously think signing SKD and Wood is the club moving in the right direction?
Some on here would see positives in getting Stanley Gene back into shape

I think if we do sign SKD it will be for 2 reasons
1. To replace Swift albeit he is slower but still a decent winger although geting on in age.
2. And the main reason I believe for the most important thing that we desperately need is change of culture and leader on the field. Also think Wood would be a decent signing. Читать дальше...
