Warrington Wolves • Tonight’s game v Saints.

Well, given that other than Daryl Clark (and maybe Riley Dean), every member of the squad has been signed or given a new contract by the current coaching team. So unless we propose we rebuild the rebuild, then it’s the leadership that must change.

Exactly.

The performance buck stops with Powell.
The continued, persistent, failure to reliably compete at the top of SL across the last decade stops with the board of directors and CEO.

As long as Huddersfields pet ref isn't in charge like he was today for the catalan game. Hmmm Kendall.

It's blatantly obvious what Kendall is up to every time he refs them. When you look at his background and the fact that he is allowed to ref their games it puts the whole credibility competition into disrepute . He should be no where near their games.

Excellent result....and we've pretty much secured our 2nd tier status in early July which is a vast improvement. Also look to have improved our average attendance, especially at Ebbsfleet so now all that remains is the quandary of how to get folk in significant numbers to Plough Lane?

Too slow for centre now, but moving to the backrow has given him a new lease of life.

Helps having the likes of Clifford and Trueman good ball, think most Hull fans would keep him, but probably on a reduced and only a year and he might be after more.

I've watched him a fair bit too. He looks good in the second row. Would be a good option to replace Ashurst (No idea if he's off contract)

The Virtual Terrace • Saints squad, can they be stopped?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

So reading other teams forums and apparently St Helens are “average”. They are having their worst season for years whilst the likes of the wolfs and Wigan are having their best season in years yet saints will be top of the league in a couple of weeks. This is why rugby league is in danger of having no TV deal. There is only one club in sl these days

Some win for them.
Preferred Catalans to batter them.

Huddersfield are beating Cats with 5 minutes left. If we can beat Salford and Saints beat Cats we go joint top. Who'd have thought it?

Warrington Wolves • Re: Best Wire Coach - not the 'transport' type.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Might be the rose tinted view from my childhood, but I enjoyed the Billy Benyon era, where we always seemed to be there or thereabouts when it came to going for trophies. I recall a season where we really should have won the league, but a massive fixture pile-up led to us playing every 2 or 3 days towards the end of the season and saw us lose the title to, I think, Bradford. That era also had some great players, like Ken Kelly and Tommy Martyn, while also having probably my all time favourite, John Bevan... Читать дальше...

In that case Roberts would be the more versatile option.

Regardless of who does play in the spine we won't have the edge there, and even if Austin were fit we'd probably struggle to match them. Our pack looks, and should be, stronger than theirs so the recipe for success is to start fast and play tough in what looks like being wet conditions.

Warrington Wolves • Best Wire Coach - not the 'transport' type.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Since I joined this forum many moons ago - and a couple of name changes due to IT issues (rather than being banned!) - I can't remember ever a time when there was't an ' "insert name of current coach" out ' thread.

So which Wire coach was the best, and why?
(and please try to keep it to this rather than hijack it to a 'moaning' thread about other Wire coaches).

Since I started watching in the 70's, there are 3 that stand out - for different reasons.
In no particular order -

Alex Murphy in the 70's... Читать дальше...

It's not that long ago we used to be among the top table sides but not at the moment Catalans, Saints, Warrington, Wigan all have 3 or 4 game changer player's we don't have one and yes I don't think the club have been very smart with recruitment hopefully that will change soon.

Wigan Warriors • Food in the ground?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I’d be grateful for any advice on whether I can bring my own food into the ground on match days.
I’m type 2 diabetic, and have good control of my blood sugars, largely due to a good diet of fresh healthy food.
I don’t eat processed food, high sugar food, or high fat food, which, sadly, excludes me from many sports ground menus.
I also need, sometimes, to have particular items to hand to deal with changes in blood sugar levels.
So, does anyone know if I can bring my own food and water into the ground? Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Re: Swap Deal

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I’ve been critical of a couple in the backs this season and they weren’t doing the bugs I was previously.

However, I will praise them when they play well. Reeve Lyne has found some form last 2 games and has been putting in a shift. Lineham has been running it in hard and making himself a pain in the backside to tackle for opposition.

Absolutely can’t fault them the way they are playing and no matter how they played early season they are doing the business now. Keep it up I say. Good on them. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Can Wakefield Trinity Avoid Relegation

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Castleford have 9 games to play, 3 at home and 6 away. Their away fixtures are Hull, Hull KR, Wakefield, Warrington, Wigan and Leeds. Home games are St Helens, Hull and Shuddersfield. Some tough away games there, going to be very interesting.

Leeds Rhinos • Transfer Talk / Rumour thread V4

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

They've signed him on loan until the end of the season.

On the production of halves, it's an issue throughout the game. Phil Gould was talking about setting up a specialist academy in Australia to try to produce more halves. The half back positions requires a level of technical coaching, and an amount of time that I'm not sure most juniors have access to. But perhaps some coaches on here could shed some light on it.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

If Griffin has had his contract withdrawn then it serves him right. Weve got no chance in the league, couple of wins and we might of been in the CC final - would of raised our profile with future players and img but instead Griffin destroyed what chance we had and set us back in the process too.
