Dagger going off early certainly didn’t help with our half backs gelling , but seriously doubt if it would have made any difference at all playing behind a well beaten pack . Our forwards could do far worse than watch the old stager Chris Hill (35) how to run the ball in with intent and purpose . Really thought we had turned a corner ,but were easily second best in every facet of that game and at times looked amateur with ball in hand and embarrassing with the amount of unforced errors which crept into our game . Leigh looking like they’re going to give salford a leg up in the play off race currently.
Hopefully they’ll turn it around. We realistically have to get 2 wins over Leeds, rovers and Salford to be in the mix.
Luckily, we do have the easiest run in. I’m not overly confident, but we’re in with a shout and i know the lads will give it a good go (for a change)

I was told by someone who would be well informed that Wire offered Nicholson £60k a year and Wigan couldn’t match that for someone who’d only just made their debut. Wire also offered him first team spot which he got immediately compared to Wigan. It’s understandable why his head was turned - I don’t think the club should be stubborn and refuse him, if there was a chance of a return

We've seen countless times that our 1,6, and 7 really don't take charge often enough. They can all look great when things are going well, but all too often vanish when we need them to drag the team with them. Reality is they are a bottom half of the table spine who don't lead the team well. They are the players who could change the game from one-up rugby, or add structure to sets by demanding the ball and getting others into position, or prep for drop goals.
