Wigan Warriors • Re: Wakey V Wire

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Holbrook surely will stay in Australia if he can get a gig?
Can't see Briers leaving Brisbane with that squad to join Warrington knowing all their problems. Briers will know all about Warrington and I'm sure he'll have kept in touch with people close to the club.

He wasn’t sacked as such, they’d been discussing terms over the last fortnight.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Imagine this Mr Moran, you have 1 cheque left in your book, you're sat up at night (again!) you grab your laptop and think I wonder what RL (wire fans) are saying after todays debacle.
You log on to the forum, scroll down to this topic and........ Eureka! You read 3 words.... Mr Shaun Wane.
Cheque book ready, pen ready, phone call reminder at 12pm (after Mr Powell & co. have been fired)
You will get your man.... Won't you?

With selection of the final 17 for Wembley up for grabs and having watched the Sheffield game back im sticking my head on the block and saying we beat fev in a close game . A backs to the wall performance will be required but we will ride it out and win .

Of course, full credit to MA. He copped the stick when we were losing, only fair he gets much of the credit
when we win.

Hull FC • TV Games - Not Hull

Hull Live first linked us to Franklin Pele on 18th May in the week after we won at Wakefield and they first linked us to Adam Clune on 14th July in the week after the derby win. But yeah, false news after a defeat

What’s the point putting so much of your personal wealth into the club and letting incompetent losers like Fitzpatrick and Powell completely waste it?

We’ve gone backwards since Price left and we were no great shakes then either.

The board need to wake up and start taking it seriously by hiring professional winners in the key positions.

The players need to take a good hard look at themselves too. Читать дальше...

Hull FC • Season over ?

Hull are losing a lot of their best players and nobody of note replacing them yet.

Tony Smith sometimes signs players on big money like Vete, Sims and Takairangi so he by no means always gets it right.

We won't know for a few months yet but right now Hull FC 2024 looks weaker than Hull FC 2023.

Thanks captain obvious.

Ratchford, Currie, new contracts this year, show how everything is bad about the club. Not had a handful of good games between them in the last two years. Whoever is agreeing these contracts along with recruitment should see the door first, followed closely by DP.

Holbrook is an obvious choice. One of the few who may be available but unlikely to come back to UK. Choked in a few big games.

Tony Smith… he could get a tune out of this squad for sure but it’s never good to go back… is it? Couldn't win it for us when we gave him the best squad in Super League by far. Hasn't managed to turn either Hull club around despite the money available to him.

Rohan Smith… I like the job he’s done at Leeds. Читать дальше...

Bradford Bulls • Barrow at home

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Big two points on offer for Bradford with the top 4 apparently the target. If they win tomorrow they can head to Batley knowing they will leap frog them in the table if they beat them as well. Batley are a great side at home but they might just have one eye on Wembley. Would also open a bit of gap between ourselves and Halifax who I feel may finish the season strongly.

Warrington Wolves • “Where do we go from here?”… The big picture.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I know that emotions are running high, but try to post objectively and without any petty in-fighting…

In which direction do we head moving forward?

We’ve changed the coach again, we’ve changed the players again, and still we are grossly underperforming year after year. We even changed the chairman a couple of years ago. What is the root cause and why is it so hard to influence change?

It’s easy to continually blame coaches and players every time we have a ‘new era’, but the... Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Powell OUT

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

To be honest, I'm beginning to think we have some sort of curse on the club. Is the HJ built on an Indian burial ground or something. I reckon we could take 7 of saint's best players plus 6 from Wigan, recruit the top aussie coach and still be rubbish.
