Moving onto hopefully a less contentious subject, at least until 4.45pm on Sunday. After the Batley game it will be interesting to see what changes are made - hasn't got limitless options, but will presumably have to shake things up. Wasn't at Batley so can't comment on individual performances but with that scoreline can't just have been one or two having a off day. Looking at those missing last Sunday you'd think Fleming, Pickersgill and Inman would have to come into contention, and Maizen if he's now recallable from Hunslet. Читать дальше...

Assuming Sutcliffe and Savelio are fit I'd go:
1. Litten
2. Swift
3. Sutcliffe
4. Tuimavave
5. Mcintosh
6. Trueman
7. Clifford
8. Sao
9. Houghton
10. Fash
11. Savelio
12. Scott
13. Cator

14. Taylor
15. Satae
16. Staveley
17. Dwyer

I like Smith's words in Hull Daily Mail.
Absolutely gutted to be losing Cliff but I feel positive that Smith will get things right and sign a capable replacement.

Taking what Smith has said I get the impression that he’s looked at it from day one that he’s been prepared should Clifford go home after this season. There appears to be no panic from Smith in regards to recruitment for 2024 & beyond.

As he said the previous recruitment hasn’t been... Читать дальше...

I guess we'll just have to sit tight a bit longer.

He's certainly is doing as much as he can right now, to in trying to retain our super league status.

They are going through a bad patch but still a decent side. Hopefully ‘home’ advantage will come into play.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

All clubs are well on with signings for 2024, some more so than others.

Would love to see a list of Confirmed signings for next season for your own particular club, along with anticipated signings and players who have been released but who will be staying in Super League.

I concur. He has committed to the club and should be given the starting shirt as much as possible. He is definitely good enough.

But are they doing the business on the day, may bust the odd tackle which is what we fans see and stands out to us. But then they can't be a**d getting back into the defensive line (or aren't fit enough cos they don't train hard) so their teammates have to cover for them.

Your argument would suggest a team full of Springers would have been beaten 60 nil at Batley.

Anyway, it's not working out at the mo but hopefully we'll turn things around this Sunday. Читать дальше...

8 missed tackles for Shorrocks last week and only 5 metres a carry after 4 metres a carry the week before.

I’d reduce his role and play him on the bench covering 9 (can’t do any less than Cust).

Agree with Boredwiganers team.

Havards injury is gutting, we struggled mightily without him and will have to do another month.

If we scrap through the semi he could get back for the final though.

Smithies did great at prop last week, Ruben Cotter style.

I also think a lot of people are doing Leigh a disservice. They aren't your usual newly promoted team who would look like a rabbit in headlights when the pressure is on. They have built a team full of experienced players... Читать дальше...

Sounds like Wire just pipped us to Fitzgibbon, the fact there seemed to be very little to suggest we was in the hunt shows how under wraps the club are trying to keep the clubs business (I am personally not against it).

My guess is no, last time Powell spoke about him he was still a while off and nothing said about him being back in training.
