Warrington Wolves • Re: This week’s disciplinary
Asiata’s tackling technique does seem reckless, but would’ve thought he would be the person most likely to get hurt.

Yeah, not good news. Paasi is the big concern, 9 months is the minimum. Lend us Vaughan and Kasiano and we'll let the Wire keep the trophy
All on now for the rest of SL. Wigan are pants and although the most likely to win, Catalans, Leigh and even yourselves must be fancying it. It really is a lottery this year, if you can throw a couple of good performances in for the play offs it's anyones.

I see now Wigan are cash rich they’ve splashed out a transfer fee on signing Dupree with immediate effect. Harvie Hill couldn’t get off the bench on Sunday (during a defeat) and now this? Imagine the feeling of alienation? I’ll await the cobblers explaining how this is different to what they constantly accuse us of.
Back at Plough lane now after the summer tour of other grounds, so hopefully we will see some 4 figure gates, but currently we have had 7,127 announced for 6 games with the crowd against Barrow in May still unreported. That's 1,187 as a reported average for those 6 games so about £4,000 per match on ticket revenue more than we were getting at trailfinders pre C19 or Plough Lane/Ebbsfleet last year.
The desired 65,000 over 13 home games a season is someway off but it is tracking up some 24%... Читать дальше...

Well only my thoughts on the situation but its safe to say one of four things is happening here either
a) The Club is struggling to recruit because of a lower spend for next season due to the government debt we are having to pay off after covid. Clubs are throwing money at players at present and Adam has already said our covid loan repayments in the coming years will affect the clubs ability to have as much money available. That's the worst scenario.... Читать дальше...

We definitely have a forward pack filled with English potential now with Dupree, Havard, Walters, Hill, Nsemba and Smithies. Dupree's an explosive player on his day - will be interesting to see how he adapts to the culture at Wigan. He was quoted recently saying that every player in SL wants to go to the NRL so maybe he sees this as a stepping stone towards that.
As it stands assuming Powell and Isa move on there does seem to be a need for some experience in there. Читать дальше...
Fenton is now back at the club. Great addition!

With apologies to Soft Cell!
Plenty on here like to assess signings made by our club but there is usually a bit of +/- bias involved so I wondered what the predictions are for how Mbye will fare at Saints? They are often held up as an exemplar of making good, unexpected signings Lyon being the obvious one, Hurrell looked like one but perhaps starting to fade and then there is Lussick!
So ho w do people think Mbye will fare get your predictions in and let see if you are a potential KFitzP replacement. Читать дальше...

Massive blow loosing Passi and Walmsley. Hopefully speedy recovery to both. Never nice seeing these sorts of injuries on players

Wire on their best form, is the best team in the competition.
However, we haven’t seen our best form since we lost Big Tom.
So, as Rubber Duckie it sounds, the competition is a 2 horse race.
Catalan and Wire. 8/1 is absolutely crazy odds based on our early season form.
Yet if we can’t beat Wakey on Sunday, I’d give the GF to Catalan and drive round for DP Monday morning myself.

Think the club knew they dropped the ball with Shaul. We never announced his 3 year deal after he did his ACL.
Gave him a 3 year deal so he got his testimonial. Too much sentiment from up top unfortunately

Seems that the achievements of both teams has been overshadowed by refereeing decisions.
Let’s hope this isn’t the case with the cup final.

Absolute meltdown from Wellens reading his pre match interview
Good boost for the rest of the season, 6 weeks ago I would have been buzzing with this but his form has tailed off and it feels a bit of a risk for a player who has only showed top form for a few months, probably a sign of the current prop market. He’s only 23 though and I think he adds something different to our other young props.

Dupree to Wigan with immediate effect.
I wonder if this could potentially trigger Mago to Cas on loan.
Wigan were happy to let Mago go on loan should they secure a replacement, however with the injuries they have suffered with their middles they may want to keep him.
Edit, just thought Cas may have used up their quota spots in the last few days with incoming players.

What's the opinions on those 2 tackles (if you can call them tackles) in yesterday's match on Walmsley and Pasai, personally think they are downright dangerous and career threatening.
Be interesting to see what the disciplinary think.

I have no problem with Simon giving his opinion to the board on who should be the next coach everyone is entitled to one. I would hope that the board do have a good idea who they want and it would be good if anybody as heard any names on who might be interested in the job. What i would question was the interview by Richard Durgan regarding recruitment for next year. He did say that we have done a fair bit of business early this year which is fair enough but there was still gaps in the squad to fill... Читать дальше...

For a man trying not to sound bitter, Wellens appears to be failing quite spectacularly. Asiata appears to have mowed down the Saints team single handedly, by tackling big men round the legs. Several teams have deployed this technique against Walmsley and he goes down like a sack of spuds.
Saints seem to be against anything that stops them being the dominant team in the league.

Wouldn't wish that on anyone, massive blow for Saints, you'd imagine Catalans are red hot favourites now for the GF
