Having watched him at Wigan and having just watched the Cairns Brothers game on YouTube there are some very noticeable differences.
He is clearly carrying a bit more timber however to say he is “fat” is a bit of a stretch, he is a massive bloke, unless you have seen him up close I don’t think you appreciate how big he is and as these body types get older they tend to carry a bit more fat.
His mobility is significantly improved. His lateral movement is different... Читать дальше...

Leeds are advertising tickets for East/North stands for their fans to buy.
No doubt BBC will have their weird shanty gantry studio thing positioned in the south. I believe we had sold circa 2,000 for the South Stand as of last week.
No reason other than the RFL trying to flog the tv illusion of a full stadium, by selling (or forcing) the TV frontage stands upon fans to buy first.

Given cap space we had, just finding McDonnell was a good effort, for me he’s one of the first names I’d pick every week I think he’s great.
Sangare added the mass we were lacking even though he needs to tidy up his skill a bit. He’s a big thing and he saps the energy of the opposition even if not always showy.
I don’t think we’re as far off as some think, but I do think this extra 10-20% of performance is very hard to reach. We simply must develop the youth effectively over the next 8 months or so... Читать дальше...

Need to ditch Sky if possible just to get rid of Thursday matches but can see two or three involved sharing the rights with Sky who will continue as the main TV company but paying less money,so these stupid Thursday fixtures will continue.
The R/L should be pushing for much moreTerrestrial TV coverage which in reality is the only way to put R/L on the map in the whole of the UK
IMG is a costly waste of time and if they want a think tank just ask the supporters

This article says he’s out of contract this year. I would imagine if that was the case it would have been announced or at least rumoured he was going to the NRL but it seems odd that there was never an official announcement of him extending his contract (or none I can find)

With the weather forecast being so bad on Sunday wouldn't it make sense to move the spectators from the open Western Terrace to the South Stand which I believe is not being used?
Mind you common sense and the RFL often seem milers apart.

I’d feel a lot better if Havard was playing.
Right edge defence will be crucial against Linnet SKD and Hall. They’ll be running at French and King all game.
Is there an argument to play KPP at right second row?
He was so dominate playing prop last week I’d be reluctant to move him.

Agree about Wakeham who seems to be less than mediocre being kind, as for Flanagan I think there is a player in there but not sure he has the ability to also control and direct a team sufficiently.

Thanks for sharing this article and the previous one. This second story is a rehash/repeat of the first one, but with a little more on Viaplay, who have made an alleged reported large loss to justify their doom and gloom headline.
I don't think that Viaplay's investment would be anything close to Sky's, but it would sad to lose the only broadcaster for the Championship. It will be interesting to see what BT Sport offer to our game in both what they'll broadcast... Читать дальше...
I'm quite out of the loop these days with club matters, does anyone know what the current agreement entails for us playing out of Odsal? When does that end?
I can't see us playing anywhere else as things stand. Not the faintest chance of getting a new ground. VP too expensive to rent. Horsfall too small and limited.

I'm not a 49ers guy, but in America they really do know their onions in a very, very competitive environment.
Hopefully they can bring some of that experience to the UK.
Looks promising so far...
