Leigh Leopards • TNT TV Rights

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Well, it's reported that SKY are sticking to their measly £25m for the right to broadcast SL and that TNT, formerly BT Sports, are also thinking of tabling a bid, which fits in well with TNT having the broadcast rights for Premiership Rugby Union. They would then become the sole Broadcaster for both codes of Rugby.

It doesn't take a genius to then realise that in future years, when both codes are up for renewal, that TNT may stipulate that they want a unified code of Rugby for which they are... Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Recruitment rumours and links

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

It is surprising we are willing to spend over the odds on players who are basically 2nd rate & can't get games in Oz or for our competitors.

No wonder the reserves & youngsters are disillusioned & how much better would our reserves be if the money was invested in youth development. Once again the club is going down the road of quick fixes.

Leeds Rhinos • Re: RD 19 | Hull KR (H)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I wouldn't say the Championship players haven't worked - anyone who expected them all to even be starting players was kidding themselves. They were mostly brought in to add depth, except for Macdonald, who was clearly meant to be a starter (and is). McDonnell who has exceeded expectations. Hooley has only been given one shot, Roberts still looks very raw, Sangare has played most games, and really only Olpherts has been a huge letdown compared to what might have been expected. Most of these lads were bargain basement because we had no cap space.

It was great to be at a game again, although I had to get the plasters out for my feet. I had to walk 3 miles to train station cos buzz was running late. After train a quick tram across Manchester centre for buzz to Salford, then another 2 mile walk to the stadium. But it was worth it. This team doesn't know when they're beaten. They just don't give up. A scrappy 1st half in which Salford were on top but after going 22-10 down, Leigh upped their game. Some of Joe Mellor's... Читать дальше...

Yep. I think he was very impressive & was a real handful. Got injured & lost confidence & fell off a cliff. I still think we asked him to do too much but I think we were short of another half-back for a while. He's obviously a decent player though.

Hats off to the players & coaching staff over the last two games, especially the Catalans game, nobody gave us a chance - including me with how things have been going but that was a tremendous result.

Followed it up with a comprehensive result against Wakefield who have just been on a massive high after beating Leeds Rhinos & Wigan Warriors.

Having Jerry back has made a massive difference for me, he's just a beast of a player, takes the pressure off the forwards making those hard yards when coming in off the wing... Читать дальше...
