Two awful teams, Leeds in particular shockingly bad - I'd almost say I'm glad I'm not a Leeds fan except we'll probably serve up worse on Sunday.

Well Wakefield only need put 50 on us to go above Castleford

Warrington Wolves • Old Match Rerun - Wow!

Blake Green bossed us in that Grand Final. If we had been ruthless we should have sent Westwood out to take Green out in the first couple of minutes. Punch him in the face as he's going down in a tackle. Do it in a sneaky way so the ref doesn't notice.

The problem is we just let Wigan play dirty while we were the choir boys.

Wigan Warriors • Sam Walters

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Been on the pitch all game I believe although he’s hardly seen loads of the ball, I do think he’s better suited to second row which he is playing tonight but he has the frame to put on another couple of stone and become a monster at prop in a few years. Very excited by this signing and all our signings for next season who I think will improve us (Chan is a bit of a project signing imo)

He certainly looks capable of playing on the edge, looks his best position currently, hes not a workhorse but seems to make things happen. On another note McDonnell is quality, nothing too flashy but works his socks off on both sides of the ball and would have been an ideal replacement for Isa, think we’ve made a big mistake letting him go.

Signed a new 3 year deal with Hudds. Shame, I would have liked him at Odsal permanently. Good luck to him and well done.

I don't want to see mata'utia playing this week, find him really, really frustrating and dont see what he does well. I don't really see that Wrench is/ has been good enough for a starting centre spot either and minikin has been OK so he gets the nod. If harrison was fit I'd move philbin to the bench and... Very difficult to compare guys from different eras but if forced I would say Bill Ashurst had a greater repertoire of skills than the other two, giving him just the edge. At their peak btw.

I would say Solomona was the same level but just in a modern era.
Ellis was immense but not comparable in skill. His kpi was physical power and effort.

Viaplay televising it so would want a game to show and logistically the fixtures that weekend would be problematic so really can't see it been changed. Its not ideally especially with us not having a squad of players so we could rest certain ones especially in a game that we are unlikely to win.

For me it doesn`t matter who signed him.
It was a mistake of a signing confirmed by the Cas fans who have said he was a liability and I`m not sure what we saw in him at the time.

Personally thought Ayling and Cooper made a couple of mistakes but no disasters.
Yes how stupid is Bamford doing that?
He needs to get the Leeds fans onside not act like he`s been hard done to considering how crap he was last season.

Warrington Wolves • A SAD YEAR

I'm just pleased for Daryl Clark, he made more money in committing to us which has meant he's spent the best days of his career at a club treading water and missed out on the chance to win Grand Finals. Now with his financial future sorted he has got a chance to pick up the Grand Final wins that his talent makes possible.

Like Hill and Cooper he chose to forego a possibly higher trophy count to make more money in what is a very short career.

Wigan Warriors • Re: Does the club need a reality check?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

All clubs go through periods of transition, but Wigan seem to have been in one for years.
Most posts on here are looking at important, but tactical, issues like on field leadership, playing people out of position, etc, but I think the Strategic side has been largely ignored by the club.
I could be wrong but I haven’t seen much evidence of forward planning, for example we seem to have recruited very poorly, in a piecemeal way, instead of acting on a set of objectives to achieve. I wonder if the coaches... Читать дальше...

Wigan Warriors • Re: Tyler Dupree

Just read that Dupree had actually agreed a new contract at Salford and all this has come as a surprise to him, got to say if I was a Salford fan I’d be a bit vexed off given the money they raised and I’d also be a little worried, hopefully they just decided it was an offer too good to turn down as they’ve been a breath of fresh air the last few years, wouldn’t be good to see them in trouble financially.

It seems Catalan don’t have the pulling power they did back then and aren’t willing to pay for the premium to sign the talent they want, what happens now?

Peachey being ‘all but signed’ and then signing to Penrith is unfortunate but that plus the ***insert catalan player here*** stuff makes them look amateur, Catalan fans will be starting to get antsy about every other club doing good business whilst they sit around and watch. Even the leopards are making signings which are putting us to shame. Читать дальше...
