Is it worth signing Luis Johnstone on a one year contract?

We have suddenly gone from "our weakest position" to why is rugby not as exciting. Well ... for me it is all about defences ... they are so much better. All full time now (for years). I reckon even our most creative players from the past would have found it hard to find space.
In all other sports (that can be measured without emotion) skills, pace, strength have improved.
Sad but ... our minds are playing tricks.
The Alex Murphy team would have to really adjust... Читать дальше...

Just listened to the first half reviewing the old GFs.
2010 and 2013 stick out for me.
2010 was the first time I’d seen us win a trophy, after years of semi finals defeats it felt like our time. Got emotional going into the ground and seeing the flags all over the Wigan end, also when Madge and Lockers came on the big screen stood in the tunnel, the roar from the Wigan end - goosebumps.
2013, lived in Warrington my whole life and losing to them wasn’t an option. Читать дальше...
Assuming Croft signs for us.
Still think Saints and Wigan have better backs 1 - 7

I know this was rejected at the chairmen’s meeting last week but the remaining 8 L1 clubs are in a league which is unsustainable. The rfl need to show some leadership on this

We certainly did not let Tom down and yes he was used last night to bring the ball away just as he was at Wakefield and as all modern wingers are.
Great signing on paper better signing than Clifford
Fingers crossed he is

Hi all
This week there is a review of last week's semi final bit also something a little different
Last night the usual hosts invited 4 lifelong wigan fans to share their memories of the previous Grandfinals back to 1998, their Highs and lows, a season review and their thoughts on the season and a preview of Saturdays Grand Final
Apologies in advance for my contribution but we really enjoyed it and hopefully it will be a good Pre GF listen

One who could be of more interest to us is the winger Gideon Boafo, 24/25 years old, came through the youth ranks at London before switching to Newcastle, scored 11tries in 18 games this season.
He is very raw with plenty of flaws in his game, but is extremely quick and may just be the sort of player that Darryl Powell has the knack of improving massively. Risky though

Yes it's from a podcast he did a year or so ago. Hyperbole but an interesting view. I don't watch RU so have no knowledge of Owen other than his goalkicking ability - I watched a highlights package of him today and you can see some similarities with his dad.
Reckon their young coach by the name of Peter Fox might also be worth a look.

I’m happy that Wigan have the trio off the hook.
That way they’d be no excuses like there wasn’t for Saints.
