Took me a while to get the sitcom reference too, you don't see it rerun as much as some of the others.

They can't rerun it in this day and age, an episode would be about 6 minutes long with all they'd need to cut out! Was a superb programme though, I've got the dvd box set.

Paul Vaughan is an Australian international. Sorry if this has been suggested and I've missed it, but why can't he use the Kangaroos games that are taking place this Autumn to use up the rest of his ridiculous ban?

Interesting point, if it works one way, it should for another.

The Virtual Terrace • 2023 grand final

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Had the lowest viewing figures of any grand final ever. it was an absolute snooze fest and light years behind the skill and excitement of the rugby World Cup quarter finals.

How do we make the game more enjoyable to watch?

I read this some while ago, and I still cannot unsee it!
As for missing Widnes, I've done it many times on a regular basis by driving round it.

Catalans Dragons • Catalan Fans at GF.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Hi,
As a wigan fan i was sat towards the Wigan end with my son and nephew last weekend and met a group of Catalan fans who sang and cheered throughout - we were sat in block N3406 in Sir Fergie stand. May of heard us as we had a horn that was different to the ones being sold outside the stadium

One of the guys was attending his 1st rugby league game and was with his wife and son.

At the end i gave him by shirt and he proudly wore it - dont know his name or anything but just want... Читать дальше...

Completely understandable considering the kit and merchandising issues by Ellgren. Hopefully they can make some improvements to the first team kit. Legible names and numbers would be a good start, and please remove the Leopard/Jaguar.

London Broncos • Recruitment and retention for 2024

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Thought/ hope this thread might come in handy at some stage. We have retained quite a few good quality players and recruited one. We are ahead of where we were for 202w season on recruitment. Here’s hoping we sign more of our current squad up. Norman has been an important player. Would he fancy Super League with a London team.

I haven’t got any real picks for who we should sign up but I wonder whether Boaofo could do a job in SL- we could do with more depth on the wings. With Ulberg injured... Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Anyone missing Widnes?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

It was quite funny for a few years seeing them languishing in the Championship, but I must admit to missing our proper derby. All the Smellies in the west stand doing their "twist and shout", and the away games used to be good with Wire filling a stand "and some".
Come on smellies, get your act together, get promoted, Dudson could help you.

Halifax Panthers • Re: Walmsley

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

That’s the same link that was posted in the other thread and changes nothing.

Wakefield aren’t a Super League club so they can’t trigger any release clause.

Fax aren’t bidding against Wakefield he’s already a Fax player who has 12 months left on his contract and well done to them for getting that in place, but there aren’t many clubs in the Championship who have a millionaire backer who’s new on the scene ready to spend who could compete with them and is just a true reflection of the... Yeah I can believe those three are injured, Percival is made of biscuit Walmsley just came back earlier than he should and Lomax has looked crap back end of year.

If they were playing the game I'd have withdrew Jack Welsby because without that rat they have no attack.

The Virtual Terrace • League 1 - what is the solution

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

League 1 is now just 8 Teams which is not substanible what is the solution. This has been caused by greed from super league clubs with IMG removing pr left less to play for in the championship. Championship do not want to merge that would be 20 team league but a solution is needed to save the grass roots clubs
