No offence but new stand (that you need us to fill up) aside your ground is still a massive dump.

Slapping a bit of new concrete on the North stand terrace and a fancy banner behind the western terrace doesn't bring it up to scratch.

You're funny. Don't let your bitterness change you.

We really miss Jerry and Thornley making metres early on in our sets as Franco and Walmsley simply don't have the power. Griffin is too slow at centre now though is an excellent second rower.

When we have injury in the centres we lose pace ,factor in Gale and Hood do not have a lot of pace to get through a gap and you can see why we were it and miss .Hope pace does not come and hit us again like last year Jowitt can not do every thing, on is own

Be warned CM Punk. I believe that there are no trains to Haydons Road on Saturday.

Wakefield Trinity • Stadiums with a seated stand & roof terrace.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Interesting listening to Matt E, he has been to Ilkley RFU to see their set up & Warwickshire Cricket stadium regarding a stand & terrace. The best example in Europe is where Dortmund FC played in the late 70's & early 80's. Its titled as the best in Europe ! As per an example.
However, even with Matt, money is an issue, but as a design its brill.

I can agree with this Nicky, but I was merely pointing out that it was very rare that pundits went so in depth to make these type of comments about players live on Sky Sports.
The comment i highlighted was this one

He’s a decent player. He’s not outstanding or a real top-end player, but he comes up with too many daft... Читать дальше...

Only seen the highlights but it looks like a great effort and could have won it with a decent kicker.

It was an entertaining game between two sides who are a bit off the pace. Could have gone either way but no complaints about the result but a bit of a shame we couldn’t stop that last minute try as it was soft really but they were probably mentally tired as much as anything else. I do think our policy of the last 3 years of starting the season undercooked is... Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Re: Attendances

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

As others have said its not just the on field product keeping people away, but also yes, the fact every game is televised. But since we made a 'fuss' about the HJ turning 20 last week (OK, wheeled out Ben Westwood and Paul Wood at HT) the old girl needs some renovations. Everything looks crap. The white bits are dirty or rusty, the roof is mossed over, the flags all tattered, the scoreboard doesn't work, the kiosks are sheeyite (5 mins before kickoff against Hull and they had no hot dogs ready?!)... Its lovely to hear nice tales about players that were playing well before our time but who our dad's used to idolise.

Huddersfield Giants • Re: Vs Wigan

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Watson is clueless. The irony is he has gone for 'solid' defensive players and we have still leaked points like a sieve. I have said elsewhere this is the most boring Fartown side i have ever had the displeasure of watching. Other sides must love playing us, we have so little threat in the middle of the field, we literally can only score by kicks and miss out balls to the wing from near the line. We don't even have any kind of recognised support player, none of the spine players have the pace for this. Читать дальше...

Yes I noticed the improvements too and they are all to the good. My only comment is that the lobby to the stand has very little natural light and I would not have painted the walls black or very dark blue. A lighter coloured paint would have made it seem far brighter.
However it's much better than the plain breeze blocks . I will repeat not a complaint ,only my opinion

The biggest compliment that I can give the club is that the Fox Stand doesn't feel like it's at Wakefield, it's quality. Читать дальше...

Squeezing past Keighley then Swinton is a sad indicator of where the club currently is..
We have actually got worse since Wood took over from Chalmers.
Don't forget we actually beat Leeds in the CC.
And had the base of a future SL team, Mini now been KR captain.
All it would have taken was swapping JK for a better coach.

Back in the day (Glover era), all season ticket holders seemed to count towards the attendance figure.
After all, you cant sell the spaces for any S/T holders that dont/cant make it.

To reach the "sold out" mark would be an amazing effort and hopefully will give the boys a huge in an important game. Читать дальше...

London Broncos • Superleague Marketing?

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Received an email pushing the Wigan game from The Superleague Database earlier.
I can't remember the last time I got a broncos related marketing email (if ever) from SL or the RFL...this has the scent of IMG pushing for cross network marketing and I'm hopeful that if the RFL have a base of southerners that bought tickets to internationals in London that the folk have been targeted.
Joined up marketing - London Broncos - Rugby League......strange bedfellows indeed, but great to see!

It’s not uncommon for Aissie imports (especially ones with a long layoff like MOM) to take a bit if time to bed in.

He made 83 metres and took 14 Carries, it’s not like he was shirking work.

Fwiw i think 6 is probably a fair score

Wigan Warriors • Ticketmaster update

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Let's be honest, it was a bit of a farce on Friday. Luckily, it's mostly fixable stuff and there's at least a 3 week window until we could play at home again.

1.Not sure if a walk through at 7:30 was, given the uncertain nature of the ticketing system, the best idea. A lot of people rushed over after it, creating long queues. We didn't get in until 10 mins into the first half.

2. In the west stand, they didn't have the overflow beer taps working. It looks ages as everyone was then forced into the food queues. Читать дальше...
