Hull FC • Re: TV Games - Not Hull

Be interesting to see if Watkins gets charged & banned the same as Jack Brown fog tipping Field in the tackle. Somehow I doubt it.

Hull FC • Re: Shopping list for 2025

Interesting conversation with Brian Carney, Tomkins & Wilkin on SKY tonight confirming what we knew already that Salford are one of the lowest spenders on the cap. Think AP would do well to offer a position at Hull to the person that sorts their recruitment and deals out.

The difference to how they operate vs how we operate is huge , neither club owns their own stadium either yet despite Hull having much bigger fanbase we still seem to be losing ground.

Leeds Rhinos • Re: Transfer Talk / Rumour thread V4

We’ve also had squad fillers even in successful side too though haven’t we? You can’t have worldies in every position especially in salary cap world.

Roberts is only just about 22 he’s not far off academy age really; like I said can see him being a squad player but he’ll have his work cut out to retain a place in the 17 going forward.

London Broncos • Wire at home.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

15 years today since we spanked them 60-8 with Orr converting all 10 tries and the infamous shirt burning incident.
Would be good to get a result, but Wire look to be a big side and as the season progresses we will tire from endlessly tackling bigger units.
Will be interesting to see the crowd numbers and if they remain high....

So if he’s been decent defensively why does that mean he’s overall poor tho?

It’s disappointing he’s picked up an injury, I wouldn’t say he’s been poor, I wouldn’t say he’s been great, like quite a few other players.

From our outside backs who've all played the same games or 1 less in Millers case:

Last in tackle busts with 2
Joint top in errors with 5

Warrington Wolves • Re: Dudson gone to Salford

Gutted about this, I think that 20m yardage gain and 8 tackles a match will be really difficult to find in the rest of the squad. Not to mention the his try scoring record with us.

Good luck to him, things havent worked out, but he's been one of our worst ever signings.

Leeds Rhinos • Re: 2024 Rule Changes

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

With hindsight, the game should have brought these rules into the junior leagues 15 years ago when the talk around head impacts in contact sports started, so that we'd now have a generation of players and coaches who had already adapted to the new tackle height.
I think it will be chaotic for a while, but the refs will become more lenient over time, as Clearwing mentioned. That's basically what happened with the current rules for most of the games history. Any borderline tackle was usually let go. Читать дальше...

I thought Walmsley morphed into a Kershaw a few times on Saturday with runs across field instead of his usual aim for the try line.

Bit harsh in those conditions. Walmsley did a lot of work bringing the ball out from deep in our half. Not the game to be running angled runs close to the touch line last weeks.
