Not sure what it is for but at least there is no ban. I'm surprised that James Vella missed anything, given that he handed out 74 penalties and 23 six agains (it felt like that many anyway). I've never seen a ref as 'on edge' as that ready for the next decision. He looked to be almost shaking with excitement.

If I'm honest, I thought he kept London in the game in the first half.

I'm not saying they didn't take their tries well or that we weren't at fault defensively when they scored... Читать дальше...

Wigan Warriors • 2024 Challenge Cup Sixth Round Draw

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Good on one hand to get an easy draw and we were probably due one - all of our draws in 2022/2023 have been SL teams.

It does seem a bit of a waste of time though. Bilko posted an idea on Twitter suggesting we seed clubs in the last 16 and have the seeded clubs play away to the other 16. Sounds sensible to me.

Yeah, said at the time that was a strange decision - we had them on the rack in their half and should have gone for the try.

We had them on the rack after that it turned when Gale dropped the kick Fev put up. They got back on the horse at that time.

Leigh Leopards • Re: Hands off Asiata

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I know it's off topic but is it because we are on a bit of a losing streak that other teams fans are suddenly bothering this forum?

Still, if you'd asked me at the start of last season "which team do you think Leigh will have the most apparent beef with" I would never have thought Saints.

On side off side we were pretty good on sat, looks like it's something they have put a lot of effort into, it was wigan who were off the line too quick a few times. Disappointingly we are still getting caught not square at marker a fair bit but thats also a lot yo do with speed opposition are regaining there feet, incorrect PTB is unforgivable though, we have been caught in all our games doing that. It's not hard, if in doubt touch it with the foot

We only have to worry about ground capacity if every single person who received a ticket, either purchased or freebee, turns up. This is highly unlikely.

Yep get that but what is the current capacity?

My take is that Rugby League needs characters, as much as we love/hate them, s***houses and wind-up merchants bring entertainment value to the game which I feel like the sport sometimes forgets that's what it is: entertainment. The sport should not snuff out players who bring that energy to the game. However, Sam Tomkins does make a very good point, if you are going to be a player who winds up the opposition, you need to back it up and James Bentley doesn't have the ability or skills to do that. This one is a tester for us.

Injured - Fusitua, Gannon, Simpson, Warren.
Doubtful - Hudson, Olpherts, Ackers.
Suspended - Lisone, Donaldson.

Miller
Roberts Newman Momirovski Handley
Croft Frawley
Oledzki O’Connor Holroyd
McDonnell Martin
Smith

Bentley, Sangare, Goudemand, Ruan.

Hopefully Ackers isn’t too serious and is ok for the game and then we have a slight headache but I think Ruan would be the drop out.

Wigan Warriors • Squad London

If ever a player has turned things around it's Mago.

Middle of last season he was getting 10 minutes game time in which he did close do nothing. Now he's standing out in a pack full of quality.

Really liked him at 13, just adds that extra ball movement we have been lacking in the forwards which helps unlock tight games. Interesting to see whether he plays that role more often - especially when Ellis has been playing so well.

Credit to him for putting the hard work in.
