Not confident about this.
I don't see saints being drawn into playing someone else's game two weeks on the bounce. They go back to basics, take metres by going hard and direct, every play and kick chosen by percentages and slow down our ptb. 80 mins of that might see them home by four or five tries to two.

Another thing about Salford is how big they are in the forwards and threequarters, strength in depth will probably be their Achilles heel but that's a very good team

Yes thats about right, think I have now seen it said the game will be at The Championships ground.

If this had been last year, after beating North Wales we would have had to go to Whitehaven and win to earn promotion

Halifax Panthers • Dewsbury v Halifax

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Well after the 1895 cup and early challenge cup rounds we get our league campaign under way at the rams stadium on sunday. Dewsbury haven't had a game for a number of weeks so they should be chomping at the bit and should also be rusty. It will be heavy going for both sides but as long as we do the hard stuff up the middle first before trying to shift the ball i think we will win. Team wise will Brandon douglas be fit to play if so who should Finn leave out and will Jack smith get the nod over Tibbs or MCcomb. Читать дальше...

You should be on stage tonight for "comic relief", that was a proper side splitter !

Personally I'd be disappointed, IF we used a marquee slot on a winger.

Nicholson`s possible return is good news, given Fitzgibbon`s return to Australia.

Wakefield Trinity • Salford placed in special measures

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Not the same thing Scarlett.

We aren’t being gifted funds to keep the club afloat and then days later signing additional players. Bit of a smack in the mouth. I wouldn’t be happy if trinity did that.

Wigan Warriors • Good Friday

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Online seems to be working much better today for anybody still struggling. I couldn't buy tickets yesterday and had various different issues at different times of the day. Went on today and bought the tickets i wanted in 5 mins no bother. Single £1.50 delivery charge but that is a bit of nothing really.

Hopefully this spells the end of our issues with the new ticketing system.

Bradford Bulls • Re: The most pointless Championship season in years

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

But when they do get promoted back to the glorious SL what then? Back to those years of table-topping glory and back-to-back cup successes?

Or being there just to be kicked about week in, week out. But the status, and all the free money, eh?

And that money reinforces the status-quo too. Narrowing the player base, limiting the scope of the game, loop fixtures with the same teams; that isn't going to grow anything.

This whole thing stinks of rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic. Читать дальше...

Feels like there are three questions team-wise tonight:
Who plays right centre - Croft, Griffin, or Franco? (If Griffin it would mean playing Vagana at second row and putting a back on the bench, which would seem mad to me. I'd prefer Croft.)
Is Hood fit?
And if so, who gets the bench spot, Doyle or Smith? Very different players, both done well so far. Would prefer to see Smith purely for entertainment's sake.

The side picks itself for me.

If we signed Mikaele again there is one song that would be perfect.
The Commodores - Three times a lady.
"Your once ... Twice...Three times Mikaele"
It's almost like Lionel Richie wrote it for this situation. Worth signing him just for that.

Bradford Bulls • The most pointless Championship season in years

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

All eyes will be on Wakefield (those that are interested in Championship level anyway) tonight but to see the result of an ultimately pointless, glorified friendly between the Bradford Bulls and their hosts, and eventual champions (irrespective of whether they win it or not), the RFL ...sorry Wakefield Trinity.

Admittedly someone can be relegated so there is something to play for.

London Broncos • Re: New Super League shirts in time for Christmas.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Apparently they'll be ready for the Wolves match. However, I ordered a retro from Ellgren and received it before the Wigan match. For those who are interested, I ordered a Large and it's the same size as last season's Large replica home jersey.
