Warrington Wolves • Wire TV v Wire on Facebook

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Last year I paid my £6/mth and watched Wire TV. Full games viewed on the Tuesday after each match etc. No problem. (Also £1.99 for a 24 hour pass).

Now I stumbled across Wire on Facebook Watch at £3.49 a month. Full games viewed on the Tuesday after each match etc. (Although this says 2021 matches....).

Confused.

I dont want to debate whether £6/mth is good value or not.

What I want to know is what is different between the 2 services ?(assuming the reference to 2021 is incorrect). Читать дальше...

The Virtual Terrace • Crowds

So with a cost of living crisis and some increased ticket prices why do we think attendances are so good. Could the coverage on Channel 4 be helping to drive attendances to a wider audience. We have always had a good product but has never been marketed properly. Or are clubs upping their efforts to promote fixtures with the new IMG criteria’s on the horizon. Or is RL better Vanir than mother entertainment, football etc?

Huddersfield Giants • Two games in

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I went to the reserves game on Saturday morning. Ollie Russell was looking pretty sharp, I think he should be in on Friday at stand off , as Pryce hasn't really set the world on fire in the last two games. I know it was against a very weaker Wakefield side but Ashworth look really good as did Harry Rushton

I’d happily give Smith a go at 6 against Leeds. No doubt Gaskell will play though. Gaskell is best at centre in my opinion, it’s working wonders for Ratchford at Warrington. If we could bring in a FB some how this week that would be great. Bob Kaye back to 2nd hooker.

I’d certainly go with that. If we don’t bring a full back in then if Bowes is fit he would come in as second hooker so Smith could go to 6.

With Lyne been out and Hall needing to... Читать дальше...

Sheffield Eagles Soar Past the Widnes Vikings
New Widnes Vikings coach John Kear returned to one of his eight former clubs as his Cestrian charges travelled over the Pennines to take on the Sheffield Eagles, the side which Kear steered to Challenge Cup glory twenty-five years ago in 1998 to play against a side now coached by the man of the match on that famous Wembley afternoon, Mark Aston.

The sides are currently sat in third and fourth in the table and knew that a win would take... Читать дальше...

Yes, sitting at southern end of ground, I thought there was plenty of space. I know there is a limited capacity of around 1500, and it didn’t look to be that many.

i'd sum it up like this, chris hill was a fine prop, but he wasn't your number one guy, but put him with your number one guy and you're gonna have a fearsome front row, same thing with sims, he wasn't a lead prop forward, he's a good guy a good club man, but he's not the one who will lead the line for you

I thought Hill was our best prop in his first couple of seasons when we also had Morley, Carvell and Paul Wood so at that point I would have... Читать дальше...

With Litten's form in pre season and this game, I wonder if Smith would be tempted to bring him in and move Hoy to 6.

Are we stronger with Hoy, McNarmara and Clifford or Litten, Hoy and Clifford.

Worth a try maybe

Don’t get all this quota talk. It’s not 2010, and we’re not wasting any quota spots as if we could swap any of our lads for Jason Taumalolo.

Good point. There’s still value there, which is why everybody is still at or near the full quota - but, as you note, a lot has changed over the last 10 or 15 years. People saying Lovodua shouldn’t be renewed seems odd from what I’ve seen of him… which won’t be as much as those saying it, but I doubt it is completely unrepresentative. Читать дальше...

I really hope Rohan gives him a run of games, so we can see what he can do.
I saw him a few times for York, but he was playing in the halves.
He did well, but of course it's a massive step up and a different skill set for a 9.
His passing and pace will not be an issue.
But his defence will be tested and we need to see if he can take a game by the scruff of the neck and drive us forward.

The bawling on RedVee is as good as the result. Apparently Myler is a grub for milking getting hit in the head with Hurrell's shoulder! The post from someone who "talked to a Leeds fan" who backed up every moan they had throughout the game is hilarious! Of course you did son, of course you did! I spoke to a Saints fan who said we were by far the better team, that Welsby is a man-child, Hurrell should be banned for 10 games and Jon Wilkin is an embarrassment to commentating!
