Oh to have Motu Tony back , he had a great eye for very good under the radar signings . The reserve game in Australia is littered with big bad South Sea Islanders but let’s be honest - at the moment why come to Hull to put yourself in the window? Got a better shot in the NSW Cup where they can attract potential suitors .

He has all the potential to be a very special 9.
On core skills and hooking play he is the most talented one at Wigan but 3rd in the pecking order due to age and experience.
I said to my mate a few weeks ago we should be looking to bring him in. If he adapts to SL quickly he could be a very good pick up for us, the risk obviously is he is untested at this level but he’s too good to be playing age group or championship rugby.

And if we lose to Leigh ( and they shouldnt be underestimated) there will still be people on here that think the likes of Taylor and Griffin should be given contract extensions.
Please Hull FC no more sentiment.
Having 20 players off contract at the end of the season is such bad management but then we have seen it before with long contracts handed out to players.
We have to hope Pearson and Clark have at least learnt some lessons and get this rebuilding right. Читать дальше...
Interesting that we've brought Tom Forber brought in. Wigan obviously not concerned about him playing on our pitch.

He and Bowes must surely be the 2 youngest hookers playing SL this weekend.

It'll go one of two ways. We will bottle it in a close game and Keighley will take the bragging rights or we absolutely batter them.

Talking to some away supporters who said they liked coming to Wakefield however didn’t know where they could stop off for a couple of drinks before the match. Any suggestions please

It's hard to argue now that we're not being treated on a different scale to the other teams. I guess it's the (rather unprofessional) reaction to the Knowles appeal last year. We embarassed them, so have a year of being targeted by referees and the panel alike. It'll do Wellens' rotation for him though as he's unlikely to ever need to rotate anyone as they'll be getting suspended for anything all year.

Maybe Bentley, but he doesn't seem as smart a rugby player as O'Connor. Happy to be proved wrong.
No idea why anyone would want to sign Gildart.

The improved effort of last week means nothing if it doesn’t turn into points this week. We can’t really talk about being interested in beating the big guns when we’re sat 10th after five rounds.

Ruan looks like he's got the size and athleticism to be a cracking forward. The question seems to be whether he can develop the skills to go with it.

I think it was common knowledge Vaughan was a fantastic forward during his time in the NRL but he can be trouble off the field. Wire have taken the gamble and it’s paying off handsomely so far. We’ll see how it continues to play out over the next few months/years, as he’s settled in fully and the good drinking weather of the summer comes round. There is far less scrutiny on the players here, so he’ll probably be fine.

Now onto the minor categories, the first of which is:
STADIUM (3pts) - Stadium facilities to reach minimum standards and add value to broadcast and fan experience.
Interesting that “broadcast” comes before “fan”, wouldn’t you say!
Define “minimum standards”. We’ve been here before during Licensing - the RFL “saw no ships” on many occasions when these were not met.
STADIUM FACILITIES (1.5 pts): Well LSV has ample toilet facilities; hot and cold drinks (including alcohol)... Читать дальше...
Saints will be absolutely fine this season. They look like a team full of John Bateman’s at the moment, as in they’re struggling for motivation when it comes to the weekly rounds, after completing the challenge of taking on the NRL’s best (obviously it was just a one off game for Saints). They’ll comfortably get enough wins to make the top 4 and it’ll be business as usual in the play offs and it will be up to all the other teams to see if they can finally get to and past their level. If we think anything else about them... Читать дальше...

Of course there is a campaign against St Helens. Its clear to see that the powers that be want a different name on the trophy.
Who ever wins SL this year, will always have an asterix against their name as it will be because of outside help

We were never going to move for him, however much we’d have all liked it. We won’t sign a hooker for at least a couple of years truth be told.
