Warrington Wolves • Out of this league podcast

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Just stumbled across the last 20 minutes of this.
Really enjoyable.
Karl Fitzpatrick was on and - apart from that stupid ear ring - he was really interesting to listen too.
His explanation about how he managed to sign Matty Ashton was classic - absolute classic.
Won't spoil it for those of you who want to know the story, but the podcast is on you thingy.
It's those sort of insights and stories I really appreciate.
Hope there's more like that to come.

Jowitt out for Trinity for a few months. Wonder if they'll be looking at Shaul again for a loan move.

Many on here said they'd judge DP after 6 or 7 matches.
2 matches in and it looks promising.
Let's see those who said that make that call in a months time.

Leeds Rhinos • Transfer Talk / Rumour thread V4

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Like has been said, RS can't do much signing wise until next year.
Our Spine is looking poor atm. They will get better im sure and Smith/Gannon are doing good for their age/XP.

Sezer has been disappointing,at least Austin tries. Fus is another that's been poor last year and really needs a big year. Myler was always a stop gap,ZH left for the cash and snazzy shirt. The list of important positions of high quality we need to replace grows larger each year we are stuck in this cycle of "Rebuilding". Читать дальше...

Halifax Panthers • Round 5 Halifax vs Batley

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

So after that very poor performance on monday night we move on to Batley. For me i do not care who plays or how we go about doing it i just want to see a performance full of conviction and endeavor from us with and without the ball. It will be interesting who we pick with Keyes being out and most of the team underperforming at Widnes. If we had a bigger squad i would be calling for wholesale changes to the side but we do not so hopefully a change in attitude will do. If i was in charge of Batley... Читать дальше...

I have a sneaky Philbin is going to come back in tremendous form. I think he'll make a big impact off the back of our current forwards.

This may be right. Everyone else has come back looking a lot better than last year (low bar I know). No reason to think Philbin will be any different. Would love to see the tackle breaking impact player of a few years ago.

London Broncos • Re: Sheffield

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

[quote="Smithers99"]I see Will Lovell got Player of the Match. As I said on Sunday I thought he had a good game. From what was posted here, it sounds like it was his mistake from the kick-off that resulted in Sheffields opening try. I was distracted at the start so had no idea whose mistake it was. He played well from that point onwards though.

Yes I thought he played well but first minute - absolute dog’s dinner. Available now on You Tube really sets a poor platform for what was always likely to be a close game. Читать дальше...

So, Huddersfield are now happy with the pitch, what a bunch of hypocrites, and whoever wrote the piece below didn’t notice the word planned instead of passed.

Wakefield Trinity's match against Huddersfield Giants on Friday night will go ahead as planned after the club's pitch passed an inspection.

Rugby Football League officials were in attendance on Wednesday to conduct an inspect on the pitch, following complaints from Catalans Dragons over the quality... Читать дальше...

I suppose that's true enough. It doesn't really sit right with me that an unfortunate pkayer who receives a head shot could potentially be missing for 2 matches (or maybe even 3 around Easter time) whilst the opposition player who caused it gets to carry on playing.

To be honest, I have no problem with the way the welsby incident was dealt with, so long as all incidents are treated that way through the season. My only real gripe with the judiciary panel is the lack of consistency. Читать дальше...

Leeds Rhinos • Re: The ONLY LUFC Football Thread

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Don`t think we looked troubled at the back and got done by 2 cracking goals.
Unlucky to have the goal disallowed and for Adams pass to get intercepted for their first.
Felt Messlier again was too far off his line again for their first mind.
We are creating plenty of chances and like what`s been said we don`t have that strike power to finish them off.
Rodrigo is a big miss imo.
McKennie does got into good shooting positions but tends to pass the ball instead of aiming for goal.
Likewise... Читать дальше...

The Sin Bin • Re: Brexit disaster

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

No apologies for repeating my earlier comments on this thread. This government is incompetent on a grand scale. I honestly can’t think of any thing they have done anything in a positive way that has improved society. So it’s highly unlikely that they would make any success of Brexit. It seems a collective madness has overtaken the Conservatives. It’s split into factions, the most bizarre one is the movement to bring Johnson back. Unbelievable how many times can one person be exposed for habitual lying. Читать дальше...

Agree with a lot of whst youve said Sally - particularly how he handled himself when being told he was going on loan - no bottom lip, no dummies spat out.

Not sure about the comparison with Forster though.

As you say not at the Hicks or Monas level (but no other Wire winger in SL has been) but certainly in the next band.

Agreed about Tindal. DFJ has a good work ethic but doesn’t really bring much more than Tindal after that especially his yards after contact and when you’re battling in your own 20 I think that makes a difference. The side of Tindal AJ and Gill I thought was pretty good and would do well to keep that
