But they could be called lightweight against other packs then? They need to eat more pies.

Leeds have carried a lightweight pack for years, and I like BIG stout forwards. That's all I'm saying. We have had a tenancy to get bullied in the middle by bigger forwards, thus the need to play the current free-flowing passing game - it suits lighter and more mobile forwards and punishes the heavier ones.

Lisone, Sangare and Olefski not big?

Bar the opening game we haven’t been bullied at all. Читать дальше...

Absolutely correct. The amount that's been invested for years has yielded very little in terms of real quality.

Tbf its too soon to tell with the latest round of investment (Shenton in as coach etc) but it is disapointing that 5 years ago we had a young team running about at Stadium Australia and the future seemed bright, and all theyve turned into is forgettable squad players and a few have retired altogether.

Gary Lineker anyone now he seems to be available talking of football enjoyed it when Chris Kamara was a guest one time.

Yes that’s the level we’re at

Last Salford away game they absolutely humiliated that day, Lineham got most of the stick from our fans, and I don’t think he played again for us that season, so who’s going to be the bad guy next Sunday? One little bright spark from their game today, Hull now have a worse defensive score than Trinity

I feel sorry for him. He coached a team to a World Cup final but had to work with championship level players at cas.

I also have a soft spot for him after he absolutely leathered Ryan Bailey to the point ryan Bailey, bleeding profusely, waited until all his team mates were in front of him before shouting “hold me back”

As usual not quite true but Bailey did help Leeds win the game

Would have taken a point before kick off.
But after Liverpool and Brentford both in form losing we really had to get the 3.
Rodrigo clearly not match fit.
Ayling absolutely terrible.
Harrison why didn`t he clear with his right foot? Then scores a belter with his right foot
Need Villa and Scum to win tomorrow.
Sommerville and Aaronssen very light and easily get pushed off the ball.
Fortunately we have some players coming back.

Do tell. Why would Latics be jealous of Wigan rugby (apart from the players being paid on time )

History, notoriety, world famous. Don't think one cup win moves Latics anywhere even close. Not when they will soon be in the counties leagues where they belong. Even the Latics opposition fans ridicule you about you playing in a rugby town. The rest of the country can't be wrong can they? Just this little select group in the estates of suburban Wigan who think they are world famous. Читать дальше...

I accepted last May/June that if, by some miracle, we stayed up given how we were playing, 2023 would be just a rinse and repeat and we'd face the same old poop again. We are not sustainable at this level and it's really no fun anymore.

It's never any fun. The final hooter can never come soon enough, win or lose.

Coming away from Headingley last night was on a par with dozens of other walk aways that I won't even bother listing. The Grix incident... Читать дальше...

There has to be at least one forward signed if we’re to compete for a trophy IMO and a brave decision needs to be made around the hooking position.

Hopefully we will sign a big nasty prop during the season

Just been watching first half v Hull on Our League app, the Hull defence almost as bad as ours. Salford have played well, and with plenty of resets, I really don’t fancy our chances.

Wakefield Trinity • Riley Dean

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

This is a little bit left field but I think most people’s concerns pre season was the Lino/Gaskell combination.

If we were going to struggle it was going to be in this area. It has proved to be so. Last season it didn’t work. This season it simply hasn’t. Is it Lino or Gaskell? Probably a bit of both.

Something simply needs to change.

Warrington have recalled Riley Dean from season loan.

He looks like a good young half with some ability.

I can’t see anyone available who is as good or better. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Trying To Be Positive

If we were to, and at this moment in time, it's a big IF, survive this season, and still be in super league next season, we have several of our players off contract, including some of our overseas greats, this could be a really good opportunity for a clear out of dead wood in the squad.

Just hope people in the club see that

Huddersfield Giants • Next two games

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Will tell us where we are so far this season. The games against Wakefield and Cas came at exactly the right time for us, they have allowed us to get some momentum, but let's face it, they are the worst two sides in the league by some distance at the moment. The good thing is we started playing more during the Cas game, mainly due to their woeful line speed and fitness levels, they seemed to be blowing after 15 minutes.

Who should the halfback pairing be? Pryce and Russell looked like world beaters last night... Читать дальше...

Do title contenders fail to score points for the third week running? How can you put 26 points past a team without return and make them look good?

Best team in the world losing two on the bounce to soft opposition is what they are actually upset about. Maybe they should concentrate on their own game and stop scrutinising ours. Читать дальше...
