If I was a cynic, I'd think other clubs could be using the pitch as an opportunity to gain an advantage when playing away from home, especially if said team were going to be missing a few key players.

We’ve put ourselves in this position by using the pitch sooner than recommended.

Need to be winning this game but another banana skin imo . Leigh have played well in patches of games so far so we need to be 100% focused .

Charnley always struck me as just a souped-up version of Henry Fa'filli.

On which note, if he'd had a 10-15 year SL career, how many tries do you think Henry would have racked up?

He was definitely limited, but he knew his way to the try-line and with some of the centres we had after he left, he'd have had been well provided for.

Certainly more than he notched up in his union career: 5 tries in 89 games.

Never our fault? Don't make out we're like Liverpool. I'm not saying we never commit fouls, or even bannable fouls (Hurrell for example). I'm fine with Saints players getting bans, provided we're treated the same as the other teams across all the games. But we aren't. Look at the Cas v Leeds game. Several incidents in that, three late shots (1 picked up for Bentley, the others completely ignored), two blatant high shots, contact with the ref and abuse of the ref picked up on the televised footage. I guess if we'd spent money doing more than basic maintenance on the pitch we would taken the hit elsewhere? Robbing Peter to Pay Paul may have resulted in us having the best pitch in the Championship already.

Quite possibly so.

He's out for four weeks with a compound dislocation of a finger from Sunday's game. The lad still scored a try with the injury though. Perhaps a chance for Nick Rawsthorne? Dusty Miller Longwood. Platinum Blonde 4.0% Mmm! :DRUNK:

Halifax Panthers • League table.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I've just had a look at our league table and noticed that the points difference, for and against, between Fev in 1st and us in 5th is 246! That's amazing after six games and makes our cup win look even better. A strange season with a few twists and turns to come I'm sure.

Only 9000 there to watch the World Champions, bloody refs are knocking 6k off their gates now as well. I expect McManus to sue the RFL.

Hmm it’s been revised.

The televised fixture between St Helens and Hull FC on Friday saw a revised attendance of 10,350, with several hundred away fans making the near-250 round trip. Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Re: Darryl Clark

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

For the past two seasons I've advocated getting rid of Clark simply for the fact that the money we were spending on him could be utilised better elsewhere. Clark has been excellent so far this season and even at his worst for us (last 2 seasons) he was usually a 7/10.

There's a dearth of players that have Clark's consistency (and now versatility) and though no longer worth marquee money I would be making him a very good offer. His testimonial will be worth a years wages, he'd have to think hard about turning that down. Читать дальше...

I don’t see it partly like that ( how Ckt2487 ) assessed it either.

In addition to how you explained it providing cover for the back line In this context doesn’t necessarily mean he will be playing in every position himself, but what it allows others to do as you mentioned.

I do agree where his strengths are but that’s the reason why Grix has signed him, he’s here precisely because of his pace and attack.

It’s much easier if a player is a natural fit... Читать дальше...

It was widely quoted as costing £500k

Well it's five from five as we head over to Castleford. who might be thinking that At Last they'll be getting their post Radford and Mamo season on track following their win versus their local big boy rivals.

Plenty of interest in this one for both Clubs, Powelly, Clarky, Minikiny, Mata' utiay and Widdoppy have all donned the P&B and Black and Amber in recent times but who'll come out on top?

Bradford Bulls • Keighley (A)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Big game on Sunday to decide who takes the "Champions of Bradford" title. The Cougars will be well up for this as usual so we can disregard any recent results they may have had. Bragging rights are up for grabs.

Would be good to see Lawrence and Thompson back but there's no need to rush them. Same applies to Walker who I heard might not be far off a return. If so I'd be tempted to move Holmes to scrum half and Lilley to hooker.

Looking forward to the game.
