I think Pryce has the x-factor about him, but he’s only here until the end of the season. Connor’s big issue is proving he can play at a decent level week-in, week-out. Hudds do seem to have a lot of depth though. Ian Watson has no excuses.

You’re right Pryce does look class.

St. Helens • Information wanted for my next novel please.

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I have started writing the seventh novel in my Ashurst series. It is set between 2015 and 2018 and will, like all my earlier novels, feature tales about the Saints, northern humour, family life and local history all set in my fictional town of Ashurst which is set a few miles east of St Helens. In it I am aiming to include tales taken from the time that I was at Knowsley Road school which was between 1944 and 1950.
One thing that I would like to know are the names of any Saints players who were also pupils there and when. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • The Value and benefit of Friday lunch and ex players Associ

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I’ve just been copied in from an email sent by an ex trinity legend Les Sheard to the person who introduced our two former greats Graham Idle, and Trevor Skerrett, at last Friday Trinity lunch club.
The letter was sent by Les, after speaking to the wife of one of our guest speakers, Sadly, I believe both these gentlemen do have a degree of Dementia, but what a wonderful and moving conversation this must have been.
Thank you to the Luncheon club and ex players association for the opportunities given to ex players to share their stories. Читать дальше...

Wardle and Isa ones are the worst challenges there has been this season, bar Hurrell's. Presumably Wardle has never even had a speeding ticket let alone a previous ban as if that was a Saints player it's an automatic ban. How you can walk away from 4 Grade B charges and 5 in total with just 1 game in bans is beyond me.

I presume your crew didn’t play this week as they would have banned at least 5 ahead of the Wigan game to make sure their plot to make sure you don’t win the GF doesn’t come unstuck! Читать дальше...

Good that we have a specialist left centre opposite Konrad Hurrell who may well be St Helens' top performing player at the moment. Will be a test for him but rather than him than playing someone out of position.

What's this obsession with Big? Is big the way to go in the modern game?

Watching James Graham interviewing George Burgess in his latest YouTube interview, George mentions that this new six again rule is killing the big guys and this isn't the game for them any longer.

I think fit, mobile, athletic forwards are the future over size.

A solid player at Cas, well, in the games I’d seen of him.
I assumed DP brought along with him his 3 pets.
However I judged him wrongly as it seems he doesn’t allow himself to get too close to his players.
Or perhaps I’m wrong there and OH was pushed from above??
One day I’ll ask DP.

Great bets but could cannibalise each other in regards the 3,2,1 points.

I had Bevan French at 25-1 in 2020 and Jai Field at 66-1 last year and neither won despite being the stand out player.

Who’s out of the squad this week? Clark, Kasino, Harrison and Maguire ? Any more ?

He didn't keep the shirt because he didn't fit into Smith's style of play - that was obvious from the end of the previous season. Him not being named as captain suggested he wasn't a long term fixture in Smith's plans.
