Wigan Warriors • Re: Wakey (H)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

2 points in the bag after three big, and intense, matches. That will do me fine. Our levels were always going to drop.

According to IFL he is not off contract at the end of the season. I hope he is not telling me lies.

The big 3 games just got worse for us.

You're probably looking too deeply into this.

Simple facts are, there are 2 genuine contenders who you could confidently put your cash on and get a good run for your money and that's Wigan and Saints.

Then there are a bunch of sides who could easily put together a run of results that somehow sees them upset the applecart, and that includes us. Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Re: Bottlers

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

There's an opportunity to reflect on what went wrong in the ruck, and letting a lot of high kicks hit the floor (very poor from Dufty) against Wigan and Saints, and put it right. These games do not define our season, and we'll have another similar series of games coming up - St Helens (H) 7/7 Wigan (A) 14/7 Cup Semi 22/7. I'll be disappointed if we cannot get back to making the hard yards, and being more competitive than we have been in the last two games. Should we make the cup semi's, ours will... Читать дальше...

He will be a good forward for sure.
Just has others blocking his path at the moment (even though some are under performing).
Would be great if he could have a period on loan and come back to replace Tet.

Yes, and some of those others are also very good young props or forwards.

I agree the ideal scenario would be to tie him down and send him on loan somewhere he’ll play every week. Maybe a one year extension with an option for another in the players hands... Читать дальше...

I quite like the idea of us getting Wakefield and allocating them a really shixx area of the ground right in the corner by the toilet block to see how they like it. On the plus side once they have visited RP they will never complain about the quality of their stadium again although to be fair to RP no sides to their... Читать дальше...

Bradford Bulls • Halifax (A)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Awful game. I expected a Halifax win but so disappointing we roll over and don’t put up a fight until the second half. We do seem to struggle on game plans.

The inconsistency is baffling. I can understand losing to a better team on the day, but to beat some of the teams we have this year to then put in performances like yesterday, Keighley away and York away makes no sense.

Not just Halifax alone but you do have to laugh at the same comments every week suggesting when X wins its because... Читать дальше...

For the first 7/8 games I’d get jokey texts off mates who support other teams giving me stick. For the last 2 games nothing. It’s like The Simpson episode where Homer is battering that burglar at Krusty burger and a kid shouts “stop….stop, he’s already dead”

Connor is not at his best at 6, he is simply too slow off the mark. Most Hull fans have said he is a centre, he does his best stuff out side near the line where his trickery and skills can get him through the line.

He is also one of the best at catching or knocking back to a support player high kicks to the corner

Wakefield Trinity • Another Bloody Sunday TV Documentary Remake 2023

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

With all the developments off the field and turmoil on it, it reminds me of Doncaster RLFC many years ago.

It’d almost be worth a documentary remake based on Wakefield Trinity and how it’s fallen from grace over the decades from the Cup winning days to playing Australia at Belle Vue to promotion and million pound games to almost financial oblivion to the current crisis with the RL records being broken for ‘nillings’ and potentially not winning a game all season in its 150th year of existence... Huddersfield Giants • Guess the excuse

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Having being unable to beat a side that have lost the last 7 games on the bounce, and only managing to score two tries against one of the leakiest defences in the league, what do you think Watson's excuse will be today? Maybe 'sides keep targetting us because we have the best squad in the league! Reality check time mate, we are mid table and will struggle to make the playoffs. I said earlier in the season that we have the second worst spine on the league, and someone said Cas and Hull had worse, well you can scrub Hull off that list. Читать дальше...

Huddersfield Giants • Hull FC (A)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Pathetic Giants, absolutely pathetic.

If I was Ken, Watson would be in my office 1st thing on Monday morning & I'd be demanding improvement otherwise he's off.

Hull have won twice all season, got battered at home by KR & we can only put 14 points in them.

We are suppose to have Pryce, Lolohea & Connor pulling the strings yet we get within the opponents tryline & we look lost & devoid of any ideas whatsoever.

A squad that is massively over balanced, far too many forwards & no wingers. Читать дальше...

Fantastic win and effort, nit perfect, but that's all you can ask, really takes the pressure off the Wakey game, weeks break too.

What a player Litten is.

Great weekend of scores for us. Only a Salford win was a score I didn’t want to see but well done to them.
Wakey and Udders lose today so we are 7th after round 10.

Wakefield Trinity • Squad for Wigan

The problem is, it should be near, but we keep throwing it back.
Two tries directly from dropped ball on our own line.
I don't know how you solve that. It isn't coaching, that's definitely a player thing.

Of the academy lads today in defeat, an early start travelling over the pennines playing what is one of the very best academy sides in wigan down on numbers with players on trial players playing injured( my lad sternum injury playing with painkillers and a ton of padding)and losing 34 18 but battled all the way. Did take the lead at 18 12 aswell.a full team effort with pratt, smith and camplin standouts for me
