Warrington Wolves • Squad for Catalan

Green on the bench. I guess that’s the surprise.

Shame he never got to play, twice we have done this now. Don’t pick them if you not going to play them. Can’t say well it was a tough game how many of the Catalan team were playing their first game.

Wolfs fans getting giddy because they beat a team missing about 10 players and had to have the help of the ref and video ref in order to do so is so cringe.

The scary thing is that the world champions haven’t found second gear yet are still favourites

Wigan Warriors • Academy

I’ve not seen a Wigan junior team as flaky in defence as that before. They didn’t look like they wanted to try and mix it with the Saints forwards at all. After years of dominance at that level, we currently look to be hitting a bit of a lull. I’m not close enough to it to know why that is. Are we getting outbid for the best juniors? One thing is for sure, if you want to base the club around producing your own players, you can’t afford to not be getting the cream of the crop from the local area. Читать дальше...

Ah… Facebook… the last bastion of truth, honest representation and fact… where would we be without Facebook?

The only thing Facebook is good for is keeping up with what ‘far flung’ friends and relatives are doing… and maybe what local bargains are to be had…

Dudson let himself down, but let’s not be too hasty in calling for a mass lynching.

He can serve out his 3 game ban and he can get on with things.

If he does it again, then yea, get rid…. But let’s not be too harsh.

Yes it was a stupid thing to do, but it’s not as bad as some are making out.

I’d like to like so but he hasn’t been named in Bradfords squad this week.

Just playing fantasy mucky kebab swap, looking at your squad.

On the youth side, I’d divide it into two groups.
1: Scott, McNamara, Brown and Wynne who are 21-23
2: those with squad numbers 24 and above, excepting Shaul, Taylor and Dwyer. I’m sure there’s some great potential in there, but apart from Gardiner they’re all teenagers (a couple turn 20 soon).

In the short-term you know that the first lot can do a job if needed, but they probably don’t shift the dial. The second lot are very green... Читать дальше...

Warrington Wolves • Blake Austin.

Technically we’re out of form based on the last 120 minutes of rugby we’ve played. But we didn’t lose either game and we fronted up with 12 men. Hopefully a good sign. And hopefully no more idiotic indiscipline. Anyway that’s not really an Austin post. FWIW Sezer should be the worry based on his salary and the return on investment.

As you can see I’m a 28 year old Bulls fan. When I was younger he was the coach of Leeds and for me did a real job with them. Built the team to start competing then the likes of McLennen and Smith built on that and took them to another level.

After that he built a great Fev side who had some great wins (Cas in the cup?).

Brought Cas from relegation fodder to a GF and expectations of playoffs.

Had a bad start last year. But now has built a team at Wire capable of winning. And... Читать дальше...

Such a frustrating game to watch on TV, seeing so many poor referring calls at vital times, and all costing us and putting Salford on the front foot.
That first half was controlled completely by some mystifying calls and a six again applied at times when it was clearly not appropriate and not when needed. The cherry on the cake in the first half being the forward pass call for our try. Second half he was again pivotal at some critical moments.
He was the only person, including the whole commentary and then the halftime TV panel... Читать дальше...

That was pretty brutal, the scoreline maybe flattered Wigan a touch. Saints so much bigger and powerful but backed up with intensity and execution. Their starting front rowers are huge and I was impressed by their number 5 on the wing, really athletic and had a bit of a chip on his shoulder/aura about him.

I think that is an excellent summary.

Spot on Tad re James MU must have been laughing their heads off.
I`m sure I read that Mourhino wasn`t convinced about Llorente and would likely not sign him.
It was an option to buy not an obligation as I read it.
