I didn't compare him. Don't have a go at me.

I don't know what qualifies as one then with the results, selections (harrison at LB today and Rodrigo left on the bench after being the best performer v leicester, Gnonto hardly playing til today) and record breaking goals against.

It's alright saying other peoples players (and there's some dross) but they've dropped of the edge of a cliff starting with palace. Conceding 9 between them and Bournemouth is shambolic.

How can making the floor stable stop the atmosphere in the North Stand?
I'm sure the performance on the field has done that if it's happened.

I'd go looking for a hungry aussie coach a la Rohan Smith from the Queensland/NSW Cup level - someone like Luke Burt at the Burleigh Bears as an example

Doncaster RLFC • Dons v Workington Sunday 7th May 2023 at 3pm

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

We scraped home 24-20 the last time we met. Let's hope it's less stressful this time!

Other weekend fixtures are:

Oldham v Cornwall; Midlands v Skolars; Rochdale v N Wales.

Hunslet and Dewsbury aren't playing.

Wakefield Trinity • Re: Luke Gale

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I'm sat here thinking Christ no not Gale but then I'm also thinking who else is there?

I was behind the Finn signing at the time (one of few I might say) but that was because he free'd Miller up to do what he does best.

I don't see how Gale and Lino could fit together.

Wakefield Trinity • Murphy

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Almost the whole of the 1979 Wembley team were sold to stave off the Wolf at the door, Steve Diamond, Brian Juliff etc

The next was Andy Kelly, sold to HKR without his consent or knowledge
Nigel Wright was probably next then Sam Obst, Tim Smith & Co

We’ve lost Murphy for a couple of reasons, the lads been noticed and bigger clubs have turned his head but I’ve no doubt that he’s looked around him and seen a club with no ambition, a team deteriorating in quality and a role model who’s wasted 5 years of his career being loyal... Читать дальше...

Constantly spot on mate.

Players like fash are essential in a salary cap sport. Low hit on cap and you know exactly what you get from them. In an ideal world he’s the sort of player you want as a back up but no one can say he has let us down one bit over the last few seasons.

To some extent I’d even consider giving Houghton and Taylor 1 year deals if the talent isn’t out there. Both had testimonies so their cap cost is reduced I believe. Both have had good seasons compared to majority of our squad.

Crazy to think how the tables have turned, it doesn't feel like 2 minutes since Aussie players were coming here for higher pay.

Now the lower grade players other there probably make more than first teamers here.

Good luck to Lewis can't blame him its too good of an opportunity to miss.

Not probably… absolutely

the amount of money in the game here is crazy… any good players now coming to super league will no longer be about money…and... Читать дальше...

Leigh Leopards • Re: France´s Men No Test For Rampant England

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

I don’t know how much of a test the French gave, but looking at the score line I would say not much, so was this really a good idea. I would suggest a England v a multi national team picked from Super League or a form of State of Origin type three game series of Lancs v York’s. Those one sided games doesn’t make them battle hardened enough to beat the Aussies.

Fash should definitely get a new deal, cheap and rarely misses a game. Decent squad player, we need to sign better quality so that Fash isn't getting our POTY though.

If we can replace Wynne, Shaul, Houghton, Savelio, Lovodua and Evans with 5 forwards to improve our squad, I'll be happy.

I'd keep Savelio, but think he will go.

Undecided on Dywer, Mcnamara, Griffin and Taylor, depends on if there are better out there.

Keep the rest if possible

Massive Wagons supported by The Virginmarys at the Brudenell Club, Leeds earlier this week ...

The Virginmarys make plenty of noise considering there are only two of them ... enjoyed them more than I thought I might.

Massive Wagons are never going to be BIG but they do what they do very well and they certainly entertain.
