Leeds Rhinos • Re: Have Leeds lost hunger, as a club?

Whilst I’m not one to call for the heads of GH or RS, I do think they need to answer why we’ve given up on this season.

Hull KR • Wembley bound

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Looking like it's going to be a bit muggy weather wise on Saturday.
As ever, I don't fancy us, think we need to get over the top of their forwards and kick much, much better than we have recently.
I mean, that's a bit obvious!
Our line speed and kick pressure are a concern for me.
I've got a couple of £41 tickets going if anyone wants them.

The juniors are there. Its the pathways that are lacking. Saints and Wigan both have the blueprint in how to introduce youngsters into super league.

Other teams find a gem and then just put them straight into SL, playing as many games as possible leading to burnout, injuries, lack of confidence and disillusionment

Nowhere near enough juniors coming through. Less and less schools are playing RL. Yes, Wigan and Saints do contribute more... Читать дальше...

Don’t agree with that. Miami heat, New England patriots and Georgia Tech are greater sporting entities. I’ve seen all 3 plus st Helen’s live and Georgia tech is easily the best game day experience

Poppycock. Sent Ellins is a small economically deprived town. No sporting entity in known history has achieved as much success in relation to their resources. They are undoubtedly the best in British rugby league history, by a distance of light years. Читать дальше...

Being nice doesn't win trophies. I'd have Sutcliffe in for Larroyer and Inman for Moore. That, apart from Keyes, would just about be our strongest 17. Up The Fax!

I do like your ruthless side and you are right there is no place for being nice when it comes to team selection. I would be interested to know how we would use Sutcliffe if we was to drop a middle to have him in the team.

I think Ward is a very good coach, got London promoted and just lost out in SL on the last game of the season. He also did it with a very small budget. One other point, his league point tally in that relegated season is something that I wish we could achieve this season, but don't think we'll get close.

The only point tally that counts right now is, having more points than Cas.
If we'd started the season with something close to a competitive SL squad, maybe things would have been different. Читать дальше...

Be great if MD can bring in an outside sponsor for the stadium as a whole, if naming rights could cover the utility bills it would be massive boost for both clubs, might be being a tad optimistic there as I imagine the bills are pretty enormous.

Wembley team pretty much the same as Sunday with Bob coming in leaving a shoot out between Flemming and Layroyer for who misses out unless Sutcliffe qualifies and he may come into the frame for a bench spot.

Going on performance against Fev LJ could have done better almost most losing us the game with a first and last set charge downs (as at Sheffiled) and more than one wild pass to no one except the pitch so he could come under some pressure when Keyes returns.

As before Woody and... Читать дальше...

I thought Smith was the best British forward for the first part of the season, with the possible exception of Havard. His loss of form has coincided with him trying to do all the creative work of the team in the absence of anyone else. Sinfield had the luxury of Burrow & McGuire around him.

The same people were creating at the beginning of the year as we have now - up until last week. We don't give credit to coaches who have worked him out and that may well explain his lack of impact. Читать дальше...
