It's the business end pf the season and although it's hard to believe we are still in with a shout of a top six finish as we head over to Headingley to face a Leeds outfit who will be looking to put a dent in our play off hopes whilst keeping theirs alive.

The Virtual Terrace • Challenge Cup Final 2024 Announced

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Need to do something, it's gone from 84k in 2007 to 58k yesterday, hopefully having it earlier in the year will encourage people to go as it avoids the summer holiday season. Need to try get neutrals going again though as we can't rely on just filling Wembley with two sets of fans alone.

Poor for the final that "everyone wanted" given it featured teams that we don't get to see 20 times a season on SKY.
Thought it was an error strewn game and the BBC coverage wasn't much better.
The little Welsh wizard needs to be binned off as he's just a collection of soundbites and clichés.
Thougroughly enjoyed the ladies game and let's hope and pray that the success of the "lioness" down in Straya can be tapped into for our final v Cardiff on the 27th....although I somewhat doubt it will. Читать дальше...

Hopefully it turns out well for Martin for the remainder of this season with his role within the team.

A wingers centre if ever there was one. Made space for his winger, powerful elusive runner.

Also they can fiddle with the date of the final all they want but until the marketing to 'neutral' fans improves Wembley wont get any busier.

Unfortunately even the biggest teams will only sell 25k tickets, so 50k total. So something needs to be done to shift the other 40k tickets. Id like to see more from IMG on what they are going to do on the Marketing front, a new structure for RL doesnt directly put more bums on seats.

On a positive note a tight final going to golden point should please those that went and the BBC. Читать дальше...

The full interview was doing the rounds on Twitter a couple of days ago - he used slightly more colourful language to describe us than that!

Thought it was a good interview - he also talked about the state of the game in the UK (or the M62 corridor) and the boost Burgess could bring to the game over here. Time will tell.

London Broncos • Re: 2023 Women's Super League South

Great 22-12 win against the Army in today's semi final. Despite missing several players the Broncos came through and could easily have won by more creating several good opportunites to close the game out earlier. The additional depth in the squad shows the progress that has been made this season.

The final will be at home on 27-Aug. Currently scheduled to be at Rosslyn Park but with the men also at home that day it would be great to see this made into a double header.

As long as we stay well away from Luke Thompson I’ll be happy. Absolutely lamentable performance from him today, massively overrated player.

Apparently, the loans actually may put us in a better position in terms of P & S/FFP due to amortisation.

If you buy a player for 25m on a 5 year deal, the fee is spread across the length of the contract, so the value of the player depreciates by 5m every year. However, if you get relegated after 1 year and the value of that player drops, to say, 10m, if you sell him, you will take a 10m hit on FFP, as opposed to only 5m if you loan him out.

I said in an earlier post that not having seen a lot of him play, three of his 4? games have been televised, he doesn’t appear to be what we require to replace Clifford. I think our owners have been a godsend and exactly what we needed at the time they took control.

They have certainly aimed for success and seem willing to continue to do so. We can all have our own ideas on what we should have done and should do but we don't have the funds to make that happen and if we did would we really put our money where our mouthes are? Probably not for the majority myself included so we can only be greatfull for their continued support of the club

Well done Leigh. They were the better team over 80 minutes, it felt like, and Rovers did well to force extra time.

Not fluent but gutsy from Hull KR and that is much appreciated. Got a couple of moments to celebrate, so way, way better than last time.

You could argue your pre-planned “sway the ref” attack of Asiata’s tackling technique cost you the game

This is a very sensible appointment. He seems to have the respect of all & has his heart in the development of young players. Having seen what the man is about I'm glad we didn't go through the charade of advertising the post. We will have to be patient but there is not much point in looking back now at what decisions we've made before he took the job. New broom.

Sounds a great time. And agree best fans. Still a great game, but over officiated and players banned way too easily, which weakens the spectacle. But still a better watch than the round ball …..

Dufty does offer something in attack ... His willingness to put his body on the line in defence is questionable.... Drinkwater has ability but he's appears not interested enough and you can see by his trips around clubs that effort and commitment is in short supply as he doesn't appear to show any ambition on the field to succeed beyond just getting paid
